La Senza tends to get quite negative reviews in the newspapers. I have seen various articles about women trying out different bra fitting services and La Senza always comes out in a bad light. However, I have so far not had any problem with the shop itself, it's services or it's bras.
I am not a La Senza advacate as I have only ever bought a couple of bras from there so this is based solely on those items.
A good bra is hard to come by when you're a 'funny' size. I'm a 30D, this means not being able to get the size I need from any retailer but, instead, buying a 32D and popping it into the tightest setting for the perfect fit. Even so, 32D's can also be hard to come by but specialist shops like La Senza tend to stock more choice in these sizes.
As well as generic black, white and tan coloured bras La Senza stock an array of colours as well as a variety of other lilngerie related products. I have only ever bought black bras from there so that I could mix and match them with what I already owned.
Each bra that I have bought has been a comfortable fit and a little on the sexy side for a generic black bra (I wanted something a little sexier than just a plain, black bra) and have lasted the test of time.
My main problem with La Senza bras is the price of them but this is more of a personal thing. I have grown up in a city that is incredibly cheap to live in so more boutique style shops seem incredibly expensive in comparison. The price is actually not too bad if you compare to other shops in the same genre and my miserly ways have begun to change in the past couple of years. In comparison to the shops in my area it is more on the expensive side so I only shop there (if there is something from there that I need) when there is a sale or offers on.
Overall a nice shop with a good range. The products are on the higher end for quality and would recommend anyone having problems finding bras to fit in their size to try La Senza because of it's wide range.
Hi,I bought my daughter two bikinis that were huge compared to the size they should have been. I sent them back recorded delivery and expected my money to put back onto my account rather quickly. When I enquired a week later as to why the money was not yet on my account I was told that had not even started opening 'that days' parcels yet.So buyer beware. The goods are not sized correctly, and returns are very slow. Yet another company that will probably go into administration and blame the current climate. No! Your products are not right and your customer care is poor.
Stylish, Comfortable, Sexy and in a huge range of styles and colours what more could you want.
I simply love la senza bras.
I have always been an awkward size a large cup but small strap and have since I was a young teenager searched and tried almost every lingerie retailer you can think of. And well basically I have landed on la senza and have never looked back.
The bras come in a huge range from everyday basics to multiways and halters and strapless for the wierd and wonderful party looks. And also sexy day to day wear, silk, lace, cotton all sorts.
Every colour you can imagine is available so whether you like black and white, pastels, brights or patterns there is something for everyone. And a shape to suit every shape! plunge, push up, balconnette etc.
The bras are all very comfortable and a fitting service is in store if your not sure what to buy they will give you a size and a style suggestion.
The bras last well holding there shape for months which is brilliant. And come in a range of budgets.
Good selection, good prices, and long lasting products
The stress involved in venturing to Manchester's Trafford Centre at sale time is not something you should underestimate. When I took the decision to go and have a browse last Tuesday, the centre was naturally packed with others who'd had similar ideas. Although I was just going for a wander round the shops, I have needed to replace some tired old underwear for some time - so when I spotted La Senza on the ground floor of Regent Crescent - just to the left of Selfridges, I took the opportunity to drag my boyfriend in there and proceeded to spend no small amount of time inspecting potentially suitable products.
Generally speaking, I have little patience with sales, looking through racks of poorly organised clothes really does lack appeal for me. This can be even more frustrating when dealing with underwear sales, due to the awkward way in which stores tend to hang them, products often have something of a propensity to get tangled and end up in a royal mess on the floor. Conversely, La Senza's sale products were well organised, clearly separated into styles and size ordered - still on hangers and presented in an appealing manner. This was refreshing. Comparing this to other stores in which I looked at the underwear ranges on the same day - it made negotiation of the items easier and much more pleasant. I felt browsing was encouraged, where in other stores I have felt inclined to rifle frantically through the rails looking for something resembling my size before taking refuge in the changing rooms and regaining my composure.
Nonetheless, logistics of the sale aside, this review is about the bra you leave the store with.
So, in the past I have bought full price La Senza bras and found them to fit great. Specifically, these were Precision Fit TM Microfibre White and Precision Fit TM Microfibre Black. Absolutely no complaints. I found them much more comfortable than the Marks and Spencer equivalent (yes, before I was 100% an M&S girl) and the smooth surface means you can wear them under almost anything. Not necessarily a feat of design, but the little gems on the strap are a nice touch, that show you're not just wearing a bargain basement bra - not that you'd be worried if you were - if I could find bras this comfortable in any bargain basement I'd snap their hand right off (in a good way...).
On this occasion, as a poor student awaiting my Spring term loan installment, I was in the market for bargains, and bargains only. La Senza stocks a wide range of beautifully designed underwear, but generally speaking, I prefer to wear the more simply designed and therefore more versatile underwear. A lacy pattern may be lovely - but it doesn't look so classy when it is showing though your vest top! This is just my personal opinion, though.
The sale items I found were:
Velvet Flock Plunge bra in black - reduced from £18 to £9
Three-way bra in black - again reduced from £18 to £9
I tried them on in the changing room to make sure they fit, but this was almost unnecessary as I have found the sizing to be consistent across the La Senza range - something with which I always struggled in other stores. The velvet bra is a plain black bra with what is effectively black velvet polka dot across the cups, it is pretty but not massively conspicuous to the extent in would be impractical under clothing. The multiway bra is a plain black bra. I haven't yet tried the different arrangements of straps, but in the conventional fitting it is a comfortable bra that creates a flattering appearance. Uplift is key with these bras - and as someone who is quite busty I really appreciate the support they provide. Comfort and confidence. What more could you want?
If you are unsure of your size, La Senza offer a measuring service, which the staff were happy to provide even when the store was busy. I have not used this service, so cannot comment further.
Overall - a positive sale shopping experience with the most important part being that I felt I came away with items that are genuinely good value for money and genuinely very useful.
La senza is a great place if you need a great bra and they have every bra for whatever mood you are in or nay occasion.
The bras they have include sports bra, push-up bra, normal bras, baby dolls, sexy bras, matching sets and many more!
They also have an excellent range of colors too : black, white, nude, yellow, pink, green, blue, yellow, red, orange.
Different styles as well : polka dot, lace, floral, rhinestone, pretty, plain and many more.
The sizes are great too they come from AA to FF so there's no problem with bust size.
La senza also have a pre-teen range too, and they have all sorts in that range! But the styles are a lot different from the adult range.
Bras can be quite expensive here, but they are excellent quality and can last up for a long time, not forgetting that the support you have in the bras are very good so there's no more falling out!
But La Senza do have excellent offers on bras the most common one is two for 25 pounds - so that's only about 12.50 per bra, but these are only on offer with specific bras. But still bras cost around that much in La senza but some can cost more.
To buy a bra from here, you need to find your nearest La senza for some it can be bit of a drive, cause mine's in Cambridge!
Overall, it is worth buying a bra from here and worth having to pay loads of money for one cause they won't wear out as much, comfortable and last! five out five stars for me.
La Senza is a national, well known high street store that sells lingerie and nightwear for women.
I have been shopping in La Senza for a few years now, and as such I have quite a large collection of their bras, and I love them. The bras come in quite a few different styles, with hundreds of different colors and patterns across all ranges, there really is a perfect bra for every woman in La Senza.
There is a range of bras epecially for women who are over a DD, and these still look great with awesome patterns and colors. The bras range from an A cup to a FF (some styles go up to an H cup) and they will happily provide you with a measurement in store should you need it.
All the bras have adjustable straps, so no matter bra you buy, you can always ensure a very comfortable fit. The prices do seem a little steep in La Senza, but they are worth the quality, as I have never had a problem with a La Senza Bra. Sometimes you can get some great bras in the sale or on special offer, so it is best to keep your eyes open for things like this, as I have had some amazing bargains out of the sale in La Senza.
I have never had a problem with the bras in La Senza, even after owning them for a long time. They are all machine washable, and I have tumble dried my bras with no problems. The material always feels nice and soft, and the support I get is always brilliant. I recommend La Senza to all women everywhere, as it really is a great store and even if the price does seem high, it really does reflect the quality.
Being a bigger busted lady (34DD) it can be hard to find bras that offer enough support, a good fit, and of course, remaining stylish.
La Senza offer a wide selection of bras. They have casual, cute, girly, sexy, provocative .. you name it, they have it! But not only do they all look great, they also have a fantastic range of sizes, meaning the bigger busted ladies can get a great looking bra in their size!
In my experience, the bras I have purchased have been excellent quality. They have survived wash after wash, with no problems. The support on them is fantastic - and with the fabulous range you can create any look you want. They also area great fit - in the past I've had so many stores where I just can't fit one that fits comfortably .. this is not a problem in La Senza!
They offer a bra fitting service as well, so finding that perfect bra can be made so much easier! A correct fitting bra will result in a much better fit, and will be a lot more comfy. It's surprising how wrong you can be about your bra size, so it's worth getting this done!
When you buy from La Senza, you will get a cute little black and hot pink bag, and have the option of scented beads, which smell great and leave your items smelling sweet!
You can get multiway bras which are a must for those halters and cross strapped tops and dresses that so many of us have!
You can also buy bra straps from here, and they have diamanté ones that are a lot more glitzy and glam that your bog standard ones! Worth a look!
Having said all this, the bras are a little pricey compared to some on the high street - although they will last a long time as they are good quality. And La Senza also often have offers on, so it's worth checking out the deals to get a bargain.
Not for me! Im usually a 32C from anywhere else, and the other day went into La Senza and was measured by a young girl who seemed to say i was a 32DD, this is strange as ive never been told this before!
Anyways, i have purchased a few bra's from La Senza before and I havnt been very impressed, they seem to shrink in the wash if they are cotton and they are very over priced!
You tend to pay around £20 for a bra which for the quality is too expensive!
I do have to admit i like La Senza as a shop, they have great pj's for myself and they are always nice gifts to get people! Overall though i do feel the shop is very overpriced, i went in to look for a plain white thong and they were charging £8!
Some people may like the underwear but i can defnetly say it's not for me!
Not a big fan of La Senza, not because the products aren't good but some of us ladies who have a larger bust find it very very difficult to shop here.It seems that even though it is a lingerie shop the majority of their bras don't go any bigger than a 36 D/E. This is something that I would expect from stores that only have under wear sections but as they are a specialist store then you would think they would try and cater for a wider market.
I think I have found maybe 4 or 5 items in my size in La Senza in the past and unfortunetley they are not the most flattering or eyepleasing bras that I have seen.
This is such a shame as all their other items are cute and sexy,I feel I would shop here I they expanded their sizes and make the small amount of items they do have in larger sizes more appealing to wear.
On approaching a La Senza store, you can see the gorgeous products in the windows. On going inside you can see a well lit display, colour co ordinated with lots of choice.
They also do pyjamas, dressing gowns and knickers. So its a one stop shop for undies and nightwear.
The quality of there products is excellent and the choice fantastic. Myself and my daughter buy most of our bras and matching undies here.
When you`re purchasing a bra, they offer you a free fitting service which can be a bit hit and miss.
I`ve had one where the assistant has measured me, gone into the shop, bought a selection of bras for me to try and has had no more input. I dont know whether it was because she was new and a bit embarssed.
Another time in the same shop, I`ve had a different assistant serve me and they have measured me and then once they have brought the bras and I`ve tried them on, they have pointed out the negatives and positives for my shape.
These bras go right up to the larger lady with matching briefs and have washed timelessly.
They feel a million dollars on, fit lovely and come in so many styles. It has to be one of my favourite places for bras and I love the fact they`ll giftbox your undies for free if you so desire. To make you feel that little bit special
I buy most of my bras from La Senza as I have always had good experiences in there.
La Senza sells underwear, swimwear and pyjamas and has branched out in to some makeup and accessories.
La Senza offers a free bra fitting service which I have used twice and have always found this to be very useful. The changing rooms are nice and you are (in some stores) provided with a silky dressing gown which makes the experience more enjoyable. Once measured, you are then taken around the shop to choose bras to try on, and given advice.
The bras in La Senza are very pretty and most come with matching underwear. Even the bras which are more practical are still pretty, often with lace and frills.
Each style of bra comes in a fantastic range of colours, and most bras go up to a size DD, with some going up to a size G.
I have always found the bras to be of good quality, lasting a long time, and I can say the same about the swimwear and underwear.
The prices are good, at around £15-£20 for a bra, and usually under £5 for the matching knickers. However, La Senza often has sales and offers which I like to make the most of. I recently picked up a great bra for £5 and so it is often a good idea to have a look then!
These fit amazingly well and will send your lucky guy wild! I used to buy quite cheap, yet pretty bras from other places that were ill-fitting.. Until i discovered La Senza! I had been wearing the wrong sized bra and they helped me find my size (free!) and then took me around the shop to find ones i liked to try on.
I love the fact that even the everyday ones have prettiness and lacy bits on! Unless you don't want that, that is, they also do plain ranges to suit any size (they go up to a G in some styles!). I usually find it hard to find any pretty bras in my size in any other shop, but here there is a whole DD+ section with all kinds of bras in to choose from!
The straps are really well made and don't fall down once they have been tightened to how you want them. Even the spaghetti type straps aren't guilty of this! This is another reason i love these bras. They are also reasonably priced, around £15. Whenever i go in there's always a sale as they bring out so many different ranges and i can always find a bargain, often only spending around £10 a bra. They are often available with separate matching knickers, which are also reasonably priced! I love the fact that they are separate as a set so you can choose each size as you wish!
For women of any size, these bras really do give you a boost and make you feel amazing!
I often buy my underwear from La Sensa. The things that I like most about the company is that they do a wide range of bras ranging from beautiful sets to T-shirt bras which both comein a wide range of prices they also do knickers 5 for 12 pounds which is good when you just want to buy underwear for a bra that you have. I would say that you do get what you pay for though as the cheaper sets can wear out quite quickly.
La Sensa also do beautiful nightwear for every generation and accesories for underwear such as straps and 'stick on bras' which is very handy as very few places do these.
The staff are always quite helpful and they offer a bra fitting service which I have always been impressed with it is as good as the Marks and Spencers bra fitting service.
The only downside to La Sensa is that they do not do the smaller '30' measurements anymore which could alienate anyone that is this size.
La Senza stores have a great range of bras ranging from the practical under T shirt or sports bra to the ultra fancy (maybe not that practical) pretty bra.
I do like their range and the prices are very competitive. It is also often possible to get even better deals at sale times or also by using their on line shopping website. With the website they quite often seem to have discounts of up to 30% or even 50%.
I find the bras of good quality and they come in a range of fabrics from soft cotten to pure silk. The bras seem to be able to withstand regular wear and washing well.
What I do find a bit problamatic with La senza and in fact most other bra shops is that the sizes do seem to vary. One size may fit just fine in one style but the same sixze in another style item can be completely wrong. It may just be me (and my boobs!) but I would recommend trying things on before buying if you can. If you buy on line you can easily return items to a local store if they don't fit.
La Senza is my first stop for underwear. Not only do they stock sizes for larger chested girls like myself who would not even look twice at Bravissimo's ugly range of bras, they are pretty and there is everything from everyday to special occasion and recently they have started to stock more shapewear too. They have special offers on pretty much all year round with things like 2 bras for £20 or two for £25 they have a sale on at least 4 times a year and they stock Bikinis for Larger breasted girls too. I never have a problem finding my size in stock and they staff are always very helpful and know their stuff so they will tell you if your bra is too small for you and they will measure you properly for their range.Compared to other stores i find the quality is impressive and the prices are actuallyquite good. they also offer a student discount of 10% which is always handy!
