Still a respected label but with some chinks in its armour (Lacoste Clothing)

Advantages: Make some quality items

Once upon a time Lacoste was a premium brand and well although it is still considered 'designer' i think that they have put out some pretty trashy items in the recent past. However there are still many quality items they produce and can be found on the high street at a reasonable price. For me personally i have always liked the plain Lacoste polo shirts in the most basic of colours. Although it is a very simple piece of clothing, and it may appear that the only thing seperating it from any other polo shirt is a label i would have to say you are mistaken. The quality of the shirt is unmatchable and the few i own have lasted my a few years and are still in great condition..the reason i like them is because they are what i would describe 'smart/casual' so good for everyday wear yet still smart.

I have also owned several pairs of Lacoste trainers in my time, two pairs which looked like the old tennis shoe and one more quirky design which i havn't seen anywhere else before. I picked all of these trainers up at a discounted price in store sales or online so for me the price was reasonable...between £30-40.

The quality is great, the stitching has all stayed in tact and the rubber soles have not worn down much at all. The leather is easy to clean apart from the white part where scuffs show up quite easily (but this is the case with all white footwear i would imagine) the trainers have kept their shape and are still very comfortable to wear.

Summary: Still producing some quality clothing but for the most part isn't as good as it once was.
