      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A decent pair of slipper socks.

      === The product ===

These are machine washable 99% polyester, 1% elastane slip on slipper socks. They are flat soled with ribbon bow detail in a ballet style.

=== How to use these ===

These are slipped on just like you would slip socks on.

=== Where can I buy these and for how much? ===

These can be purchased from Marks & Spencer stores and www.marksandspencer.co.uk for just £4.00. You can have these delivered (charges may vary) or have them delivered to your local store for simple collection.

      === Overall opinion ===

I love these slipper socks! They are very simple to just slip on and because they have little frill detail around the edge of them they are incredibly snug and comfortable against the top of my foot. The socks fit well without being tight which makes them very comfortable. They sit flat against the bottom of my foot which is just what you'd expect from a sock really.

I love the style of these, they are pink and the little bow detail is very cute. Overall I think that they give off a very cute feel when I am wearing them and they make me feel a little less like I have giants feet. The bow has lasted despite me washing these about 15 times already which is always a good point.

As I mentioned before I have washed these quite a few times already. As we have wooden floors and I'm not always brilliant at mopping them as often as I should it's fair to say that these end up dirty, a lot! I usually just wash these with the rest of my washing on either a cold, 30 degree or 40 degree wash depending on what else I am washing and these are holding up just fine, so far. The socks are showing a little sign of wear now, they are looking a little more faded but the bow has held fine as has the bottom of the slipper sock.

When wearing these slipper socks I don't find that I slide around on my wooden floor much at all. I feel confident enough to strut around at my normal giants walking speed! I haven't slipped over once while wearing them and this must be due to the non-slip coating on the bottom.

These socks are very comfortable, they keep my feet feeling snug and warm without getting too hot in the summer. Even after washing these slipper socks stay in good condition and they are lasting well considering I have been wearing them almost every evening and washing once a week. They keep my feet protected and they fit my size 7-8 feet very well with no digging in to my skin or other issues. The material is lovely and soft and I feel ready to relax when I put these on.

      Recommended.

I am not really a slippers type of person.......but I do wear socks around the house because I absolutely hate having cold feet - and I simply don't like having bare feet. However, for my birthday my daughter bought me some Marks & Spencer Fluffy Slipper Socks - which are a cross between socks and slippers.....or "slocks" as my daughter likes to call them! The slippers costs £4.00 from the Marks and Spencer store in the centre of Cheltenham.

The slippers are a pale baby pink colour that is quite girly shade, but a perfectly pleasant colour. They are quite thick compared to normal socks - but at the same time they are not bulky or heavy and so my feet do not feel confined as they might in shoes. There is no sole to the bottom of the sock - but they do have rubbery patches on the bottom so these provide some grip and I can walk around on my wooden floors without sliding all over the place. However, recently I was coming down the stairs and slipped - and so I don't think the plasticky patches are as slip-free as proper slippers or shoes. They are really very comfortable because the socks are very fluffy and silky and there are no seams that can rub on my feet. Like I said, my feet do not get hot when wearing them, but they do keep my feet warm - especially in bed! They are a one size fits all - and I do believe they would fit the vast majority of women. My feet are a size 6 - and they are a perfect fit for me.

They are made predominantly from polyester and, as such, they can be washed on a warm machine wash - and they actually wash well. I have washed them a couple of times a week since May, and they are still as good as new. I have had slipper-socks in the past which have grown patchy when they've washed several times, but so far this hasn't happened with these slocks.

I think these are good quality slipper socks and they are comfortable and inexpensive - and so I can recommend them.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Soft warm slippers, what more could you want!

I have been looking for a nice, cheap pair of slippers, as my feet are often very cold even in the summer, but a lot of the slippers I've seen weren't to my tastes and I then saw some slipper socks, and noticed the ones in Marks and Spencer, and they were pink and soft, but also were a very good price, all that I wanted!

The product is 2 ballet style slippers, which come in a baby pink colour or a darker purple colour, I personally chose the pink colour, but both are rather pretty colour wise, it just depends on taste. The product is quite appealing, as it looks different to other slippers as they are simple but pretty. The pink slippers have a small pink bow on and come in only one size, which is okay for me as I have tiny feet and knew they would fit, but other women might have some problems with these types of slippers.

The texture of the slippers was really nice, they were soft, both on the outside and inside of the slipper, which makes your feet feel more comfortable and keeps the heat in the slippers. The materials isn't too fluffy though, which would put me off the slippers, as I would worry it would go matted, so it would be appealing that it isn't to fluffy. The material is 99% polyester and 1% elastane (which is elastic). The elastane in the slippers is an advantage, as it enables the slipper to be put on easier, which is a real advantage for some people, and I wanted to make sure the slipper fits when my feet become swollen I can still wear the slipper, real advantage for me!

Putting on the slippers was easy, it was like putting on socks, and for me the slippers weren't tight to be put on, but were snug on my feet, which was perfect. The weird thing about the slipper socks was that they were completely flat soled, and it did feel weird wearing slippers for the first time, as everything I wear have a slight heel, but I soon got used to it and they were very comfy to wear, as my feet were completely flexible while wearing them, which is different from other slippers and other slipper type boots. The slippers also enabled my feet to stay warm and cosy, which was really nice for relaxing days or days when they don't feel the best, perfect for winter! They were also very comfy to wear in bed, to make feet feel warmer, especially in winter.

The Fluffy Slipper Socks in pink or purple are only available at Marks and Spencer, both in stores and online and costs £4, which is a real bargain!

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Good price

I was given a pair of these slipper socks for Christmas. They are sold by Marks & Spencers and are only available in one size. The pair I received were pale pink in colour. I have since spotted these slipper socks in my High Street store and they cost £4. They are also available in a mink colour with a white trim and white bow on the front.

      The product:
The slipper socks are really just a very soft slipper minus the usual slipper sole. Instead of a sole the bottom of each slipper socks has ridged dots. I can't honestly see anyone wearing this product as socks. Firstly they are thicker than the socks I normally wear and secondly the ridged dots on the sole might be a bit painful rubbing against the bottom of your shoes/boots. Really I don't even think this product could be worn under slippers. I really think they has been designed to be worn as bed socks and then if you get out of bed during the night to go to the toilet etc. you still have a slight grip on the sole of the slipper socks from the ridged dots - just my opinion! The overall style makes these slipper socks look like ballet pumps, they really looks very cute. They are lovely and comfortable to wear because they are really soft inside and feel cosy and warm. I personally don't find that the ridged dots make the slipper socks painful to walk in. They just offer a bit of a grip.

The slipper socks are made from 99% polyester and 1% elastane. They are machine washable which gives them an advantage over most slippers. They are very feminine looking and have a little bow on the front and the material the slipper socks is made from is quite fluffy. As I said before they are one size so it is advisable to have a good look at the size of these before you buy them. Ladies shoe sizes range from a size 3 to a size 8. I am a size 5 and these slipper socks are just a little bit big for me, I think they would fit a size 6 perfectly. If your feet are any smaller than a size 5 then these slipper socks won't fit you, they will not stay on your feet. The added stretch will allow possibly for a bigger size but definitely not a smaller size. They only have 1% elastane. I think it would have been better if these slipper socks came in size small, medium and large. Then there would be a suitable size for most people.

I have washed these slipper socks now about 4 times in my washing machine at a 30 degree wash and they have washed really well. They do not look at all worn and the fabric has not gone bobbly or faded in any way. I will say the slipper socks remain exactly the same size after you wash them, they do not shrink or stretch. They wash well and I think they will last some time. After 4 washes the ridged dots on the sole are still intact.

All in all I really like these slipper socks. I don't wear them in bed, I wear them around the house and especially in our bedroom because we have a new cream bedroom carpet. They are handy just to slip on and off as we have a no wearing shoes in the bedroom rule because of the new carpet.

I also see they sell these slipper socks in different designs. They have a lovely pink diamonte pair and if they had been available in small, medium and large I would have bought them in a size small for my neice. She is only a shoe size 3 so these slipper socks won't fit her.

I am going on a cruise in May so I will pack these slipper socks to wear around our cabin. Less bulky than taking slippers and perfect to pack because they are very lightweight and wash well.

Perfect for taking on holiday, perfect for round the house and fully washable. I really like these slipper socks. Personally I think they are a bargain for £4.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Handy to have in the sock drawer

I always have cold feet so when I spotted these in M&S for a mere £5 I thought I'd give them a shot as they looked less restrictive than slippers. They come in a cardboard packet which is inserted inside the socks and you can get them in size small, medium and large. Being a size 5 I opted for the small size. I should think that the size doesn't have to be exactly accurate as they are very stretchy and so will accomodate a size bigger or smaller easily.

The slipper socks are made of a very soft and fluffy material which feels very cosy against the skin. Around the top you have a stretchy elasticated band which fits snugly over the foot and keeps the sock on. The elasticated band has a frilled lace-type detailing around it and it feels soft like satin, not too tight and very comfortable. The sole of the socks have little rubber patches on them, much like you get on Totes Toasties, which provide grip to the surface you are walking on. This is particulary useful on wooden, tiled or laminated floors where you can often slip when just wearing normal socks. The ones I purchased were black with pink spots but you can get a lot of different colours instore.

I found that these were very practical for pottering around the house doing dishes or washing due to the non slip sole and they didn't get in the way or fall off mid-way down the stairs like some slippers can. As such they are idea for both young persons and the elderly alike as they are very secure when on. The only issue I have with these is that they are just not warm enough for colder weather as they are quite thin and I still need to wear proper slippers then for the extra insulation. Also, if it's a cold night, the top part of your foot can get a bit cold as it's exposed to the cold air and so I think these are definately a summer item.

Overall, I think it was worth the £5 for these and I have worn them a lot and bought some as gifts. They would be ideal to take with you on a holiday as they would take up only the same space as a pair of socks. Plus they are nice and easy to pop on after a bath or shower and feel lovely and cosy.

A cute pair of warming lounge wear slipper socks

        ~Get cosy toes with M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks~
        ************************************

The range of products on sale at Marks & Spencers is quite large and there is much to search through when looking at what is hot and what is not, so when I came across these sweet little M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks that were on offer in one of the Marks & Spencers stores I visited I knew that these little slipper sock were going to be a hot prospect for wear on colder evenings around the home. When wanting to review these cute little M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks they were not listed here so a product suggestion was made in order to allow me to share my thoughts about them.

When on display these M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks stood out as they looked like a super teeny version of the ballet type slippers you can buy that had been crossed with a pair of cut off slipper style socks. The M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks were hanging on an in store display rail along with other similar slipper socks and as I couldn't make my mind up which ones to get I came back with a few different pairs to keep my tootsies nice and warm. There was no wrapping on the M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks at all so I was able to feel the thickness and texture of the material before I bought them and all I had to do to be able to slip into these once I was ready to wear them was to take them off of the hang tag they were on which was easy and quick to do.

        ~Design, material, sizes~
        *******************

The design used for these M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks is very simple as they are basically a pair of cut off slipper socks with a light elastic stretchy lace trimmed top to them that means they stay on your feet when you wear them. The material used to make these slipper socks is very soft, very light and slightly fluffy, with an easy against the skin feel that doesn't rub or cause and redness when they are in use. Although these don't seem to lose any of their fluffy fibres on flooring when you wear them, I have used my M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks as a liner type sock to wear inside my slippers when walking about as they are very pale and light and would be ruined by wearing them often on their own.

The under side of my M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks came with a series of small dots on them which are made of a slightly rubbery feeling material, which I feel is very similar to the rubbery treads used on slipper socks made by brands like Totes etc. You can feel the rubbery dots when walking on hard flooring but less so when wearing these with slippers or on carpets. The main body of the M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks that I have are in pale pink although they also came as a light mink brown shade which was also nice and may possibly look fresher for longer as they are in a darker shade less prone to showing marks.

The material used for the M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks is made from 1 % elastane and 99 % polyester with a very light and slim lace detail around the top edge. The look of the slipper socks is completed with a bow in a toning slim ribbon giving a pretty yet minimal styling to these. When wanting to wear these they do need to be slipped over your toes and heels and the fit will vary depending on what size feet you have. As these are a one size fits all type of slipper sock the fit will be more snug on bigger feet than it will on teeny tiny feet and this can mean that the rubber pads on the soles will stand out more if worn on hard surfaces if these slipper socks are at their full stretch.

        ~Summary, price and rating~
        **********************

The main downside of these M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks is that as they are very light and thin they can and do wear down quickly if you wear them on hard flooring and they will become marked over time which ruins the look of them if constantly worn without slippers over the top when walking about. The M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks are good to wear for those times when you are snuggled up on the sofa, as they do feel nice and cosy and they won't mark or scratch your sofa as they are made from a fluffy light material. This is what I feel they are best kept for as they make super little lounging socks.

The M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks can be machine washed if wanted and I have put mine in the tumble dryer to dry them off and keep them feeling soft. The only downside to drying these in the tumble dryer can be that they do seem to shrink a little if they become over heated, so I find it best to only dry these for a few minutes before taking them out and leaving them to air off. Over all I have been pleased with my M & S Fluffy Slipper Socks and I feel that for the £4 they cost they were a reasonably good buy, so I would like to give them a 3 star mid range product rating which I feel is more than fair.
