Advantages: Great clothes for young women

Disadvantages: None really!

I used to think M&S was somewhere that people my Mum's age shopped, ie people in their 50s and 60s. So aside from getting my knickers and socks there, I avoided it like the plague! For a long time, I thought the Per Una range was the range aimed at people like me, ie in their late 20s or early 30s. But a lot of that is so frumpy looking, so I gave up on M&S for a long time, feeling it just wasn't for me.

Then I stumbled across an interview with Stuart Rose, the M&S boss. It said that actually Per Una is aimed at women in their 50s and 60s, and women my age should be looking at Limited Collection. So I did.

Limited Collection is full of great stuff, lots of very fashionable items and good for basics too. They do a fab Limited Collection long sleeve T-shirt which is great for layering. They do lovely accessories such as bags and scarves as well. And yes the stuff looks good and trendy! I had always avoided this part of the store, as it looked 'expensive' and I expected that being 'limited' I wouldn't be able to afford it. But actually I find that it is well priced, slightly more expensive that the bog standard M&S stuff but certainly affordable.

The quality is as you would expect from M&S - great. I don't know why it's called Limited Collection, as the items seem to be in stock for a long time, and some things like the aforementioned T shirt make a come back year after year. It's quite a small range (maybe that's why it's 'limited') so there's less chance of running into someone else wearing the same thing!

All in all, worth a look if you want something fashionable, good quality and well priced.

Summary: Step away from Per Una, this is where it's at!
