I will always wear a t-shirt bra underneath tighter tops and have always bought cheap ones from Asda or similar places and have paid around £8. I saw this one in my local M&S and when I tried it on I realised how good it was compared to the ones I used to buy. Although it is a t-shirt bra it is a nice shape and has quite a plunging neckline which gives you more shape, but it still has the full cups which look good under a t-shirt.
This bra came in black, white and nude and I bought the white one as I could wear it under more clothing. It came in sizes 30A to 38FF so it should fit a lot of different shapes and sizes. I usually have to buy a bigger size in the cheaper t-shirt bras but I bought my normal size in this one and found it was perfect, with no spillage over the top of the cups.
It has quite a thick strap around the back with three hooks and eyes for stability and the straps are thick enough to give you enough support. I have worn and washed this bra many times now and it has not shown any signs of wear or tear, and is still white, although I am not sure how long this will last for. I have bought bras before from M&S and they have always been very hard wearing and long lasting.
This is a very comfortable bra to wear which I can wear under any clothes and I would buy one again. I paid £14 for this bra which is not too bad a price to pay for a good fitting and easy to wear bra.
It's so hard to find a bra for every day use which is comfortable, does the job and looks nice.
I think I've finally found one!
I bought 3 bras recently from M&S looking for something I could use on a daily basis. I should add that as I ride horses every day, it's important to me that a bra has support (!) Two of them went back but this one I kept.
This bra comes in 4 colours - black, white, pale pink and lilac (which is really a bluey-grey). It costs £16, funnily enough the cheapest of the three that I bought.
It is a little padded - important to me as with just a t-shirt in the summer I need a bra that, erm, covers up any detail when you get cold or wet (that's probably the best way to put it?!). It is under-wired which as far as I'm concerned is a necessity when you're a D. The straps are narrow but widen at the shoulder (you can see this on the pic) and this makes it really comfortable - no digging in on the shoulder, but still looks good and not 'granny-like'. I have the lilac one and the straps look fine when worn with the sort of top which shows straps - partly due to the colour choice I think.
The satin trim at the edges is a nice touch and really makes it feel and look a little more feminine than your bog-standard t-shirt bra. And, most importantly, they do not create that 'indent line' that a lot of edged bras seem to create. (If you're a D or more you'll understand what I'm talking about)
This is really comfortable against the skin and for me was an excellent fit, giving a good, supportive shape. It's also nice enough to wear in the evenings as with the satin trim and button detail it's still quite attractive if you're not in the mood for your lacy number.
I am going to get it in every colour!
