Advantages: Great for wardrobe staples and good value 'outstanding value' range

Disadvantages: A bit unispitational fashion wise, difficult to find sizes

Marks and Spencers can be, for me, a bit hit and miss. Its recent 'outstanding' value range for staples such as plain black trousers, jeans and homeware are good value and quality, but they are basics, nothing inspirational. I also like the summer t-shirts, usually on a 3 for 2 offer and underwear but apart from that feel their fashion clothing just misses something, is just not quite right. The schoolwear if fantastic value and quality but unfortunatly for me the kids clothing often scares me with its lurid and faffy design and just not being something my kids would agree to wearing. I find it quite usual to struggle to find sizes, with arms being filled to bursting with only a couple of sizes. I find the whole store (apart from the lingerie section wich I love) stuffy and out dated, despite the recent revamps. They do have a really good refund policy though of 90 days wich is 2 month longer than other stores.

Summary: great for wardrobe staples and school uniform and of course lingerie, but not very exciting.
