Advantages: Still great quality
Disadvantages: Lost their cutting edge as far as style is concerned
I used to be one of Mexx's greatest fans....I was totally kitted out in MEXX gear and so were my kids, sure, being near a factory shop helped, and I would never have paid full price for the clothes, however fantastic, but they really were superb style and excellent quality. We have MEXX jackets, sweatshirts, dresses, shoes, accessories - you name it we have it! Most of it was bought at silly prices in the factory shop sale, but it was always a label I looked out for, and a make which if I'd had the money to buy at the original designer prices, I would have done, so I was disappointed on my latest visit to the factory store in Swindon that MEXX seems to have lost it's way to a large extent in so far as style and fashion is concerned. I used to be guaranteed that if I wore MEXX clothes, I would be at the forefront of where fashion was heading, but from what I saw in the store this week, that would definitely no longer be the case....... It seems as though MEXX has settled for producing good quality clothes which are less than avant-garde, being far more conservative than they ever were in the years where I was buying regularly. If what you're looking for is a stylish suit for work, then you could do a lot worse than shop here, and the kids clothes look much the same as they did a few years ago, but there was nothing which my fashion conscious boys would have worn, and nothing which both fitted and suited me, which was a huge disappointment. From what I can see, MEXX has settled for a much more conservative clientele, and totally lost their cutting edge. Maybe if your taste is more conservative than mine, you may now love it!
