The arcadia shops such as Top Shop and Miss Selfridge are my favourite high street stores but they do tend to be pretty expensive. To counteract their high prices I tend to shop in the sale or just buy one or two items when I have just been paid or for a special occassion. My latest buy from Miss Selfridge is this vest top with a tiger's face emblazonned on it.

The top itself is a vest style top but the sleeves are only a little thicker than spaghetti straps. The top has a scooped neck but it isn't too low and doesn't reveal any cleavage unless it is pulled right down or is the wrong size! The material (which is 95% Polyester,5% Elastane) is very clingy which is very different to most of the graphic vest tops at the moment which seem to be baggy or loose fitting. I like the style of this top as, like I have said, it is different and is basic and easy to wear yet still bang on trend. One of the main advantages to this top is that it is long enough to cover your bum whilst wearing leggings.

The concept of animal tops was first made popular by like likes of Top Shop and Asos who sold wildlife jumpers and tops similar to this one. Primark then jumped on the band wagon and sold cheap animal printed vest tops and EVERYONE seemed to be wearing them which got tedious. I had always wanted a top like this one but wasn't willing to buy a top that I would be conscious to wear incase everybody else was wearing it!

The overall colour of the top is a light grey marble effect which prevents the top from being plain. The pattern is very subtle as the main attraction on the top is obviously the animal face. The face itself is mainly in black and white apart from a few orange/yellow patches on the nose which really makes it stand out. The detail in the tiger face is really good especially the eyes and nose area.

In terms of washing this top (which I have done so several times) I have not noticed any shape deformations with the top becoming baggy or shrinking, nor have I noticed any of the colours fading or running which is a testament to the quality of this product.

I paid £12 for this vest top from Miss Selfridge in the sale, originally it was £22 so I was pleased with my bargain. It gets 5 stars from me.
