“ Brand: Miss Selfridge / Type: Belt „
I was lucky enough to be able to buy this Miss Selfridge Tan Leather Skinny Belt from Ebay for £2.99 and £2 postage so I think I got a good bargain for a nice trendy fashion assessory.
I had been looing for a thin belt for a while but not liked most of the one's I'd seen in the shops and they are quite expensive for abit of leather with a buckle at the front, some were the wrong colour and others too wide and I just wanted to find a good hard wearing belt that would go through my jeans and also be able to wear it with a shirt or dress and it not be too noticable but compliment the outfit.
This Miss Selfridge Tan Leather Skinny Belt does the job nicely, it is light and can be worn with a dress or go through the top of your jeans with out javing to yank it through and struggle gettin git through the loops of the jeans, as some belts are too wide.
I like the simpe design of the brown leather and for the price I paid delivered to my door I'm quite happy to have it.
It's a good quiality letaher too and I have has this belf for about five months and it hasn't broken or scuffed anywhere and still looks as good as the day i bought it and it was second hand not a new buy from Ebay.
I like the silver buckle which is a standard designed buckle which is rounded not the square type you sometimes get.
I find this a good fitting belt and it feels comfortable to wear it doesn't slip off and feels nice and tihgt when you fasten it up.
I'm happy to recommend this to you if your looking for a plain and simple belt that will last you a long time.
I had been looking for a good quality belt that went with my outfits that was on trend this season and came across similar tanned coloured skinny belts in various shops. After deciding I thought Miss Selfride was the best deal rather than Topshop and Primark.
~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~
I bought the Tan Leather Skinny Belt quite a while back from Miss Selfridge for £8 whereas the likes of Topshop were selling a similar kind of thing for £15. I had a £10 voucher that I could of spent in either of these stores anyway, so I got mine for free if you think about it that way. The belt comes in two different sizes: S/M and M/L and three colours: Tan, Black and Coral. I bought the largest size but fastened it on the end hole so that it was as small as it would go!
~WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?~
Just by looking at the belt you can tell it is made of good quality leather. The belt is made of 100% leather and is around 1.5cm wide. The fastening is a classic buckle belt but with slightly rounded edges, the buckle is silver with a leather tan loop further down to thread the end of the belt through.
~WEARING THE BELT~
I have worn this belt plenty of times now and it never fails to finish off an outfit and make it look great. It looks great with any neutral coloured clothing and can be worn with almost anything. The belt is lovely with a pair of chinos or some high waisted trousers/jeans, or simply just over the top of a dress or long jumper. After wearing it lots of times, its safe to say it's had a fair amount of use and still looking near enough new. The belt is designed to it can just look stylish as an accessory or threaded through your belt loops to keep your trousers up!
~WOULD I RECOMMEND IT?~
I would definately buy the belt again if anything was to happen to mine, and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy one! Thanks for reading. This review is also on ciao under the username becky-.
I brought this belt for 8 pounds from Miss Selfridges a couple of months ago and I have to say I love it. I love the brown colour as it goes with most things. I shopped around a bit for a belt like this and didn't find any others as a good value as this one. The belt is thin leather, about 1-1.5cm wide. It has a silver coloured round buckle on the front. It comes in small to medium and medium to large. As I said I love this belt so I have worn it quite a lot considering this it has stayed in great condition.
Its amazing how quick fashions change, it can be quite expensive to keep up! Every season there seems to be a new style of belt which is the MUST HAVE and this season it is the skinny belt. The most desireable colour is the tan colour, the neutral light beige and brown, which is kind of handy as it is a colour which is quite versatile and goes with a lot of things.
I bought this belt from Miss Selfridge for a couple of reasons. A lot of shops were doing their own versions, but I wanted to buy leather one, as they age better and look much better quality when worn (in my opinion). The price was quite good, at £8, when in the other shops they were sometimes a lot more.
The belt is thin leather, about 1-1.5cm wide. It has a silver coloured buckle on the front which is rounded. Although the belt comes in small to medium and medium to large, it also has lots of different holes in it, to make it even more adjustable. I like to wear this not only through my belt loops, but also over my clothes, although this is a little difficult as the end of the belt just hangs loose and can look messy, so I should have thought about that before buying it!!
I have worn the belt quite a few times now and it is still in really good condition. It is lovely belt, and if you were after a skinny belt to wear through belt loops I would recommend you pop into Miss Selfridge.
I bought this skinny tan leather belt from Miss Selfridge a few weeks ago. I have seen a similar one in TopShop for £15, which I liked but I thought it was too much to spend on a small belt. I know this one was only £3 cheaper but I did really like the belt and I decided that I might as well get it as I'd probably only regret it later if I didn't.
I used to have a belt just like this one, the style was exactly the same but the price was much cheaper - it only cost me £1 from Primark! Even though this is a much preferable belt pricewise, it wasn't anywhere near as good quality and even as nice looking as this one. The one I had from Primark got thinner and thinner every time I wore it, it was made from a really rubbish material that didn't last very long or well at all. This one is made from real leather so I'm more confident that it won't suddenly snap off when I'm wearing it!
I wear the belt as a waist belt so needed to buy it in a smaller size. This belt is available in two sizes, s/m and m/l. They are both quite small and if you're any bigger than a size 14 then you don't have much hope of being able to squeeze in to one. I think this belt looks great over white, cream and nude coloured tops and cardigans, and dresses.
I really love the look of the belt, the price could have been better but I would describe it as reasonable because the quality is really good and in my opinion makes the belt worth paying for.
