Like most girls I love clothes, and you can never have too many pieces in black. Black is incredibly versatile and goes with everything so I tend to stick to plain colours especially if there is some other detail which makes the item a bit more unique. I came across this Miss Sixty top whilst browsing the discount fashion online retailer Get the Label, www.getthelabel.com. Get the Label provide "designer" clothing at slashed prices, although I must say their idea of designer clothing is very different to mine! Their stock is just discounted high street chain products, but you can get some decent brands here such as Lipsy, Miss Sixty and French Connection. Get the Label state that the RRP for this particular top is £54.99, which seems very high! Their sale price is a much more reasonable £9.99 so I felt like I had snapped up a bargain, saving a massive £45.00. I chose this Olia fine jumper in black, and it is also available in an orangey-red colour. There are limited sizes left in stock now but they are still available to buy online. Product description: "Miss Sixty womens Olia fine jumper in black. Three quarter sleeves. Elasticated band across exposed back." This product was displayed nicely on the website, which is helpful when you can't actually see it in real life before you buy it. There front and back photos along with it pictured on a model (as above). I'm a sucker for back detailing and loved the exposed scoop section with the thick strap at the back. This looks unique and is quite different, especially when you balance it out with the plain slash-neck front. The detail is in the back of this top and I think that makes it quite fun to wear. My only problem with the design is that the cut out is right where the back of my bra sits so that's not nice to have my bra hanging out of the back of this lovely stylish top! You can get around it by being brave and wearing one of those backless bras, or by wearing a camisole top underneath. I like to choose one in a contrasting colour to make it stand out against the black. The back strap is quite wide and elasticated so that it stays in place securely. It has sort of a ruched looking effect when unstretched, but this evens out once you've put the top on. Unfortunately, what the photographs did not show me was quite how fine this "jumper" actually is. The top is incredibly delicate and made of a very thin knitted fabric. I personally wouldn't call it a jumper, as to me a jumper is something thick and cosy to wear in cold weather that will keep you warm. This top is very thin and certainly won't be keeping you warm, especially with that hole in the back! In fact, the fabric is so thin that it actually goes sheer when you put it on. The top has a lovely cut and is very stretchy and clingy so that it hugs your curves and sits nicely over your body. However there is the obvious sheer issue! Again, I just worked around this by wearing a camisole underneath. This does work well and the layering look goes quite nicely, but I was expecting to be able to wear this as a separate so it's a shame it wasn't quite what I had expected when I placed the order. The material is made from 80% Viscose and 20% Polyamide. This means that this top can be machine washed and is easy to care for. I put this in the washing machine on my normal washing cycle at 30 degrees and it came out fine afterwards, although it did end up looking quite creased. It might be advisable to use a wool / silk setting, or place the top inside a pillow case or something similar so that the delicate fabric is protected during washing. Overall, I think this is a lovely looking unique top, just be prepared to wear it with layers unless you want people looking at your underwear!
