      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Pretty dress that will get a thumbs up from my parents!

When it comes to clothes I simply am unable to resist buying them. I live near an Asda store in Weston Super Mare and about half hour away there is a huge Walmart Asda in Bristol and being Asda...well clothing is pretty cheap there.

I am visiting my parents over Easter with my partner. Not only are they not overly keen on him and the fact hes alot older than me and we had an on and off relationship for years (till we started seriously all over again a year ago and date properly now!) but there is always a row about my clothes too!

Not only do I suffer with an eating disorder so come under close scrutiny for that but also my parents don't approve one bit of my clothes! Now that suggests I wear outragous clothes, actually I don't at all however whenever I visit now I get a little paranoid and try to cover up a bit more and dress conservatively just to avoid the backlash conversation from an over bearing mother and an over protective step-father!

When I saw this dress not only did I like it, it didn't feel or look like anything I owned already and I felt it really was conservative, however I liked it for that reason and felt its quite severly designed but that I could dress it up or down depending on my mood!

      The Dress Itself:

This dress is only available in one colour and that is a navy and that navy is rich and dark in pigment. The length of the dress is said to be 41 inches however I am not sure how this works as this dress is available in both short and standard sizes and in sizes 8-24, though alot of the the standard sizes in the dress are selling out fast on the website and they may re add sizes for this if they get more in stock however I got mine instore and there was a full range of sizes on offer.

So I bought mine in a size 10, I feel that is very true to size giving a nice flow at the hips. It feels soft and jersey like on and is made from 95% Viscose and 5% Elastane and it is fully washable and suitable for tumbles drying and although I have done that onthe run up to Easter a few times now I haven't felt it to stretch out of shape, fade or bobble or anything like that at all so it is easy to care for and it only takes a light iron to get the creases out of this soft material!

The style of the dress is rather plain. You get a dress with a sleeved mocked shrug that is classified as a three quarter length sleeve and comes to the elbows and then under the bust there are soft folds of material to create a slightly cowl necked bodice to the top of it and then it is slightly elasticated to the waist and finishes off aound about calf length.

This is beauitifully made, generous and soft in size and I love the femininty of this dress without it being one bit revealing. Probably suited to the more mature wearer, I think at £12.50 a dress this is a bargain and like I stated earlier you can dress it up and down but this is a safe, well made dress that in my opinion looks more expensive than its price tag and I rather like it!

Only available in Asda stores or from Asda.com
