Morgan... Unnecessary Expense (Morgan)

Morgan is a chain of designer high street stores, which are present all over England, stocking their own brand including, underwear, bags, jeans, t-shirts, and more smart stuff as well. Morgan is also stocked at outlets such as DB3 and department stores such as Debenhams.

Thinking along the same lines as Topshop? You'd be wrong! Morgan doesn't really stock casual clothing, and also doesn't seem to stock anything that comes within the range of Topshop prices! I'll give you an example, my friend bought a see-through vest. You know, the mesh kind, with 'Morgan' written in sequins across the chest. Ok, so £25 would have been more than enough to pay for it (come on, it gets plucked as soon as you wear it!). But no, this flimsy mesh vest cost £55!!!! But ok, I can deal with this, I too have been a sucker for buying overly expensive clothing just because of the name displayed.

What really gets to me is that the majority of things sold at Morgan you could pick up on the market. Everything looks so cheap & made out of nylon. To be frank, you can go in Internacionale and get exactly the same stuff for a fraction of the price. Yet everyone turns their noses up at Internacionale, because apparently it's cheap and tacky. So how come the same people are willing to go to Morgan and buy the same stuff for such a high price???

You also can't head to Morgan for something plain. You know, like a plain black top for the night. Oh no, you may think you spot one, but as you get close, the reality is that it has needless sequins stuck on it, or has a slash down so you bare all to everyone. This is another of Morgan's bad points! Seen on screen, or from a distance, you may even be led to believe that the item of clothing you are looking at is gorgeous. Get a little bit closer and you'll probably change your mind.

From the few items that I have purchased from Morgan, all have been of poor quality. Seams have come
away, zips have broken, and clothing is ruined all too easily. When in a Morgan store I have never received great service, mostly due to staff having more interest in the way they look, checking themselves out in the mirrors, rather do
ing their job of serving the customers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure some people love Morgan; it's just definitely not for me. I just don't see what they have to offer that is any better than anywhere else, and how they justify their prices!
