“ Brand: Topshop / Type: Womens Jeans „
I am a big fan of Topshop but with it being one of the more expensive high street shops I don't get to shop in there as much as I would like to. However, whenever I need (or want) a new pair of jeans, Topshop is ALWAYS my first port of call without fail. I love the selection of jeans they have and these 'Leigh' jeans are my particular favourites.
As much as I love the look of jeans generally I find them to be uncomfortable to wear all day as denim can be quite stiff and often feels like it's digging in at the waist. This is where the Leigh jeans differ. They are made of 'super soft' material making them feel so comfortable! They almost feel like leggings but look like jeans, but I definitely would describe them as jeans and not 'jeggings'. Another great thing about these jeans is the variety to choose from. They come in a huge variety of colours, shades and patterns. And when I say a variety I don't just mean blue, black and white, I mean yellow, red, purple, green, any colour you can think of. They come in all different sizes, ensuring that you can get the exact fit right for you by picking out the jeans that have the right waist measurement and right length measurement. This is very useful for someone like me when buying jeans as I am quite small which can be a bit out of proportion with my bigger bum! I know a few people have this problem.
The jeans are skin tight which personally I like but I know some people wouldn't like this. For me, it feels nice to have some skinny jeans that don't make it feel like you can't breath!
I bought my first two pairs of these jeans around four years ago. After a couple of months I noticed a rip in the jeans at the top of the thigh on the inside. Both pairs of jeans had the same rip in the exact same place. Straight away this told me it was a design fault and I took them both back to the shop, after a bit of persistence from me I got both pairs refunded. At this point I decided not to repurchase these jeans. About a year/18 months later I thought I'd try them again. Since then I have bought about five pairs and this has never happened again. I don't know whether they are now made better with improved quality but whatever it is they did I'm glad they did because I just LOVE these jeans! All the pairs that I have bought since have lasted well and had a good amount of wear.
These jeans cost £38 and I think the patterned ones may cost a few pounds more. In my opinion these are definitely worth the price tag. They look great as well as feeling completely comfortable. What more could you need? My absolute 'go to' when I need a new pair of jeans. Jump on the bandwagon! :)

I live in Topshop jeans! I own 12 pairs of jeans and all are from Topshop, either the Baxter or Leigh range. I will be 25 on Easter (presents and chocolate on the same day, yes please!) so I love fashion and going shopping. I am a size 12 and have shopped at nearly every shop going, a) for my style of clothing and b) for the perfect fitted clothing. I have 2 boys, 5 and 2 and for some reason they like to dress the same as me, I am a skinny jeans and converse girl so my boys also love skinny jeans and converse. Shopping around for skinny jeans I have never found anywhere that has the 100% perfect fit that Topshop has.

The Leigh range is Topshop's 1 item that every girl needs in her wardrobe, while Topshop sell a range of jeans, the Leigh jeans stand aside with its super soft feel, skinny look while remaining comfy with the fit every girl wants but still remaining comfortable while wearing.
You can buy the jeans in a huge range of colours, from :
*As well as ones with pattern's
They range from waist 24 up to waist 34 (so roughly size 6 up to a 16). Leg length ranges from 28 to 34. Some are available in Petite and some are available in Tall.
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ The Jeans ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
When touching the jeans the 1st thing you will notice is how soft they are to touch. Its like they have been coated in fabric softener. The jeans can be brought in various colours as you can see from above. I do have quite a few colours but mainly different versions of blue as I find these go with different tops. The jeans are plain, 3 pockets at the front, 2 normal sized ones at either side, and 1 tiny pocket on the right hand side above the normal pocket. The jeans fasten with a zip and a button, the button displays 'Topshop Moto' in it. My Pansy blue jeans have a bronze coloured threading running around the edges which can be seen. On the back you will find 2 pockets. Some of my Leigh jeans are already turned up at the bottom with a thread put in place to hold them there, some do not have this thread, so are not turned up. Looking on the inside of the jeans on the back of the waistband you can see a label that states 'Topshop Leigh jeans', followed by the size, also on the inside on the left hand side is a 2nd label with sizing, care instructions and the material. When pulling at the waistband and legs you can feel a little stretch.
My Leigh jeans do slightly vary in % of materials used, the cottons range from 89% to 91%, the polyester ranges from 9% to 7% and the elastane is at 2%. The jeans are ankle grazers, which means they sit at the nobly bit at your ankle.
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ My Thoughts ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
I was immediately surprised at how soft they feel, prior to buying Leigh jeans I was buying Baxter jeans (also from Topshop) but found my local store stopped selling my length in them, and refused to pay an extra £3 for delivery when I was already spending £38 on a pair of jeans. So switched over to Leigh and was very impressed. I am short at 5ft 1 and 3/4 so always buy the 28 inch leg and waist 30 being a size 12.
I find the fit for me is perfect, and simply cannot be beaten. I like to go running to try and keep in shape since having my 2 boys but being a curvy size 12 I did struggle with jeans from other shops, with other shops I never had a problem with leg length it was always the fitting around my bottom that seemed to cause trouble, I have nearly always been a size 10-12 but a 12 on the bottom due to my 'meaty cheeks' as Harvey my eldest calls it. And with jeans from nearly every other shop I found I could not get the perfect fit, a size 10 and I couldn't get the jeans over my bottom, and a size 12 would be too saggy, but I knew my size was a 12.
When I tried the Leigh range, I immediately went for the size 12, I did try them on before buying, and they fitted perfectly. When pulling them on you can feel the slight stretch in the material with then gently clings to your skin while still letting you breath. The best way to describe the jeans is like a 2nd skin.
When buying jeans I am very fussy, I don't want to be pulled in, I am happy with my size and shape, nor do I want something loose that doesn't fit me correctly. These jeans cling to my curves, but not in a way that means I cannot breathe, as above, they are like a 2nd skin. They sit on my bottom and legs just right meaning I can be comfortable all day.
I personally think Topshop have got the % of materials right with their Leigh jeans, the jeans don't cut me in the middle and are very comfortable to wear. The 2% elastine gives the jeans the perfect shape, because they don't become big and baggy after a while, and nor are they too tight. I find cheaper jeans have no 'give' so are either too big or cut me in half.
I find the jeans wash very well, they are still very vibrant with no colour loss, and most importantly of all, they have kept their shape. I think £38 is more than reasonable for these jeans, considering not only the fantastic fit, but the long lasting quality
* ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Any Negatives? ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ *
The only negative I found, isn't actually with the Leigh jeans, more Topshop itself, Not all of the Leigh jeans sold online have the shorter legs available, I am a 28 leg and some of the colours I like are only available in store, which is great as it saves me money on delivery....if they have them in stock! If not, I either have to waist a while, which can take a few weeks, or buy a different colour.

The jeans can be purchased from Topshop, either in store or online for £38. I would try and buy in store, because online you would have to spend an additional £3 for delivery if you are not spending over £50. The £3 is cheap, but when spending £38 I feel you should get free delivery as standard. Some stores are also offering a free collect to store service, sadly this isn't available in every store.
Topshop have a wide range of different denim jeans available, and these MOTO 'leigh' style jeans is one of the kinds available and ones that I personally love. They are not only available in red as shown in the image above, but there are also several other colours to choose from. I own a blue pair with the bottom of the legs rolled up into a cuff making the cuff parts a lighter blue. Mine are priced at £38, but I have noticed some of them are only £30. The material on the 'leigh' jeans are all supersoft and so make these very comfortable to wear, which is why I love them.
Not only do I love these due to their supersoft feel, but they are also skinny jeans. If you aren't a fan of super skinny jeans then these won't be for you as they are very tight. The tightness of them doesn't make them uncomfortable though as they are soft and have quite a stretchy feel to them. One thing I hate about skinny jeans is sometimes they can be a nightmare to take off! However, I do not have to sit and tug at these for ages to get them off which is a relief.
These are available in sizes W25 up to W34, with the leg length ranging from L30 up to L34. Some of the 'leigh' jeans are also available in Topshop's petite and tall range too. I am quite small and so usually fit into a L30 perfectly in Topshop jeans. However, as the bottom of the jeans are rolled up I am not sure if this is taking into account the size before they are rolled up or not, and it is important to note that they are stitched in place so you cannot simply unroll them to make them longer! Therefore I do recommend you try these on before purchasing. My usual L30 did just fit me though, as I was going for the look where the jeans are rolled up so that you can see a bit of the ankle.
I am a W28 in Topshop jeans, usually a W27 anywhere else but this actual size isn't available at Topshop, but as a lot of their clothes I find are tight fitting, the W28 always fit me from here. Therefore, you may need to go one up from your usual size.
Although the supersoft material does seem quite thin, they always last ages. Although I haven't had the leigh style ones for very long, other styles that I own from Topshop I have had for years and years! They are always excellent quality.
I love these leigh style jeans and will definitely purchase more in other colours in the future. I am very fussy when it comes to jeans and struggle to find some that fit me perfectly, but the Topshop ones always do and so I don't mind paying the price, which I think is quite reasonable.
A few months ago I lost a bit of weight, and soon found this as an excuse to update my wardrobe! My skinny jeans were no longer 'skinny' and were baggy, especially around my knees. Lots of friends had told me how amazing Topshop's Leigh jeans were, but me being tight with my money, it took rather a long time to convince me to buy them. After a long while debating whether they would be worth the money, I took the plunge and parted with £38 (as much as it killed me to do so!!)
Leigh jeans come in a massive variety of different colours. I'm not sure how many exactly, but you're spoilt for choice - there is no doubt that you will like at least one of them. They also come in the classic blue colour that you usually find jeans in. As I bought mine in the winter, Topshop had the colour 'wine' in which are almost like a burgundy colour. I fell in love with them in the shop and knew that those were the ones I had to have!
The jeans are skin tight (which I think looks great and can be quite slimming) and certainly do live up to what's said on the tag. I hate when jeans are labelled as skinny jeans then end up baggy after a few wears. Well, you don't have to worry about that with these. I wouldn't suggest wearing them if you don't feel comfortable in tight clothes though. I'm usually a size 10 and I'm 5 foot 6, so I opted for waist 28 and length 32. They fit me perfectly, and as you can pick the waist and length they seem to be a much better fit than the regular sizes 8 10 12s and so on. I've never bought a pair of jeans that fit so well!
Just like any other jeans, Leigh jeans have pockets on both the front and back that are a reasonable size to fit a phone or something in. They also have belt loops that can come in handy, although I've never used a belt with mine because they fit like a glove!
I know £38 seems an awful lot of money to spend on one item of clothing, when you can go to Primark and buy a pair of jeans for about £10, but you really are paying for the quality. Leigh jeans are made of supersoft material, so you don't even feel like you're wearing jeans. Mine have had lots of wear yet the colour hasn't faded after being machine washed and the stitching is still well in tact. I'm really happy with them and I'm glad I eventually bought myself a pair.
These jeans can be dressed up or down for any occasion and look great with near enough anything. Mine look great with Converse and a white blouse - a casual outfit that doesn't look scruffy.
Leigh jeans are available both online and in store at Topshop. I always prefer to go to the shop as sometimes the pictures online can be deceiving and I never seem to order the correct size which just wastes money on delivery just to send them back again. Not everyone's like me though, so if you're unsure of what size to get there will be size guides on the website. If you are thinking about buying them online, it'll cost you an extra £4 to get them delivered.
Thanks for reading :)
I am not a huge Topshop shopper as I find the sizes literally are made for stick insects and the price tag is normally something I can buy a good 3 items for the price of one in this store. However, I do like to browse online and was scrolling through the jeans section the Moto Supersoft Leigh Jeans caught my eye. In line with my new years resolution of fixing up the flat it also includes throwing out old things I had been harbouring - including recycling old jeans which no longer fit and many I hadn't fit in since I was 18! This left me with only one pair of jeans so I was eager to re-stock my wardrobe haha!
I bought a pair of Moto Supersoft Acid Leigh Jean for £38 online. I bought it as on that weekend there was a promotion for free delivery, meaning I saved a nice £4 worth of delivery. I could easily go to the store and buy a pair but I rarely have the effort to trawl through the rails in Topshop and it makes me want to run for the hills. Buying them online was a bit tricky as they don't come in the normal sizes like 8,10,12 etc but more waist and length. I tried to follow their guide and opted for a Waist size 28 inches and length 32. I normally wear a size 10 and I am 5"5 so this seemed the right size from my estimate.
The jeans arrived quickly within a few days and came nicely folded up in the packaging. Upon opening I was pleasantly surprised at just how soft they really felt and how nice they looked. They did look a lot lighter on the website but they were a nice washed out, faded blue design which felt excellent quality and I was instantly not regretting that they were worth almost 40 quid.
Happily I undressed and put the jeans on and realised I got the wrong size! A 28 waist is perhaps a bit optimistic for me haha, and in hindsight I definitely should have got a 30! Nevertheless with a bit of sucking and tucking in I could get them on and didn't want to take them off!
The jeans are the epitome of soft and absolutely fit like a glove. They look stylish, are super comfortable and I get loads of compliments when I wear them! I have washed them in the washing machine on 30 degrees and let them dry on a clothes airer and they still look as fab as when I bought them.
I really love these jeans and have now decided I want numerous pairs to mix and match with different colours! They come in varying styles like floral print from normal colours like black, green, red etc. They range from £38-£40 and I think there is a style to suit everyone. Personally these are definitely the best jeans I have ever owned and I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Only thing is next time I may go up a size!
I have these jeans in a pale blue and they are the comfiest jeans i have ever bought. usually i don't like jeans that restrict my movement so i usually wear leggings but these jeans are perfect. these jeans are very soft and wash well in the machine and dryer without shrinking or losing any colour. They are turned up slightly at the ankle which i personally love as you can wear them in summer too or in winter with a pair of socks. they have a great shape to them and flatter my figure. I love the range of colours and the price is very reasonable, I will definitely be investing in some more of these soon and I hope topshop keep supplying them as it will be a shame if they don't. I recommend them if you want a pair of stretchy, comfy jeans that are lightweight and will suit plenty of occasions and different outfits.
As most people will be aware, colour block is hugely in fashion at the minute and I recently decided to become a sheep and bought myself a new pair of bright red jeans to keep up with this latest style, which I personally love as compared to the indie/grungey fashion epidemic that seems to of been around for the past couple of years it is much funner and it is great to experiment with different styles every now and again. I bought these gorgeous, eye catching jeans from Topshop around the middle of last month when I was waiting around for my boyfriend Marc who was looking for a new suit in Topman, which is obviously right next to Topshop. I love Topshop and decided to have a browse, and these jeans caught my eye straight away and I thought these would be ideal to launch me into the whole colour block trend!!
These jeans, like a majority of Topshop's other clothes aren't particullary cheap at £38, but to be fair they are much better quality and well made than cheapo jeans from (for example) Primark. I needed some new jeans anyway that were a bit 'different' rather than identical to my others, and wasn't just buying these for the sake of it so I was able to justify paying almost 40 pounds and I have got loads of wear out of them already as they're so comfy and versatile so don't let the price put you off. The jeans are part of Topshop's leigh skinny jean range and are available in a wide range of colours. There is of course the usual colours such as blue and black, but then the colours get a bit more adventerous - there's a choice of pink, purple, neon blue and gold just to name a few.
I opted for the shade 'dirty raspberry' which is bright post box red, as these were more versatile in my opinion than the gold and purple etc. I was tempted to get the pale pink ones but decided against it as I have very pale skin so was worried it might look like the jeans were my bare legs, lol. Obviously blue or black are great for those who like to blend in and keep it simple but I already have a few basic coloured jeans so I bought these for the purpose of being that bit more eye-catching and adventerous, plus with summer coming up they'll look lovely and bright on a summer's day - much more fun and noticeable then a boring blue pair of jeans.
The jeans are skinny jeans so are skin tight, which I personally find very flattering. I usually find with skinny jeans that they're quite baggy around my knees and ankles, however these fit like a dream and aren't baggy at all around my knees or ankles which I think is great and I don't feel self concious of this like I do in my other skinnies. The jeans have brown authentic trims which I like as although they are not particullary noticeable unless you look properly, they add a bit of character to the jeans if that makes sense and make the jeans look that bit more unique rather than plain and boring. The jeans are pretty basic but have minor basic detailing such as a silver button, belt loop, pockets on the front and back as well as the trim detailing on the ankles.
The jeans are lovely and soft and feel just like wearing leggings/jeggings, they're so lightweight and stretchy and are really comfortable without looking slouchy. They're made of 66% cotton, 28% polyester and 6% elastane. They are fine to be washed in the washing machine and have not changed in colour or texture despite being washed around five times already. The jeans are available in the usual Topshop sizes which range from six to sixteen. The jeans have a little stretch to them but are not stretchy enough to get a size smaller so I'd reccomend getting your true size. I'm 5'3ish and find that the legs are quite long on me but they still look and feel great. Overall, I love this pair of jeans. They can be dressed up or down and are very versatile. I've had loads of compliments, including a group of lads shouting out of a car that I had a nice bum when I was wearing these, lol - so I do overall reccomend these as they look great and are SO comfy!!!!
These jeans are fantastic as they come in a range of sizes and colours which can match any outfit. They're extremely soft and easy to move in which is brilliant as I personally find jeans are normally quite restrictive. I chose these jeans after reading a number of reviews myself and decided that these were the best in my price range of up to £50.
I chose these jeans mostly because of the option to have them in my waist and height size as I normally find jeans go saggy after a while which isn't a great look.
You can currently buy these jeans in colours such as marine, burgundy, acid wash, green etc. so there really is a colour for everyone. They have the standard denim colours for those less adventurous.
They're made of 60% cotton which gives them their soft feel which is definitely one of the best qualities of the jeans.
