      A Bargain!

As a lot of people will already be aware, crosses are huge at the minute - walking around town you will notice that a majority of younger people have a cross on their top. Cosmic prints are also massively popular whether it be on leggings, tee shirts or bags. So, when I saw this tee shirt in New Look it instantly appealed to me.

It's a black tee shirt/vest with a large cosmic cross on the front of it. Simple enough, but incredibly fashionable at the minute. This retails at £12.99 which I think is an incredibly good deal - Topshop sell similar designs for over £25.00 so it is no suprise that these are currently out of stock on the website. I can however confirm that they're in stock in store (in my local New Look at least) as I saw a rail full of them today.

This is basically an oversized, relaxed fitting long vest which is black. The straps are very thick - it's basically like a tee shirt which has had the sleeves cut off rather than a proper vest if that makes much sense! It has quite a low scooped neck which shows a glimpse of cleavage and the arm holes are quite low too, although I find that I can just about get away with a bra without showing side boob - a bandeau would be better, but I don't like bandeaus at all any more.

The vest isn't 'straight up, straight down' - it flares out a little at the bottom which I was concerned would be unflattering, but it actually looks really nice as it gives a very subtle 'floaty' kind of look. The purple cosmic print stands out against the black tee shirt and it fills most of the top. The print has lots of stars and it's really pretty. The print doesn't look cheap or 'stuck on' and in my opinion this could easily pass as a Topshop or Urban Outfitters top.

The vest fits nicely, especially around my bust, stomach and hips and I find the way that it fits really flattering. Sizes available are 6-18 I think. I'm a size eight but I'm really self concious of my thighs, so I like that the top is long enough to cover up a few inches of them! The top comes almost half way past my bum so unfortunately it can't be worn with tights but in my opinion it looks okay with leggings as long as they're thick and not see through!

The top is incredibly versatile due to the simple design and colour scheme and it's very easy to style. I wear this mainly with skinny jeans or if I'm just doing house work I'll stick it on with some leggings. This isn't really ideal if you want to wear it with shorts due to the length and on the ocassions that I've tried to tuck it in so that I could layer it under a long cardi, I found that it looked too bulky around the waistband, which wasn't a very good look at all!

The top is made from 100% cotton and the material is nice and soft - almost silky. It is good quality and quite thick. It washes really well (I wash mine at 30 degrees as recommended on the label) and doesn't take too long to dry. I've not had any issues with the colour or design fading and it hasn't lost its shape. I've had this for around a month now and I've got so much wear out of it.

Overall, this is a stylish, versatile and good quality top.
