Leggings have become a must have basic staple in my wardrobe for the past few years, i wear them multiple times a week and they are so easy to dress up or dress down. Finding a good pair can be difficult though as your cheaper ones go see through on the bum (not a good look) or they get holes on the seam. Enter seam free leggings!
As the title states i bought these in new look, i actually bought online not in store but still the same! They cost me around the £8 mark which is a bit more pricey than your average primarni special at £4 each! But with these you get what you pay for.
The material is lovely and soft and has a good stretch to it. The length is good too as i often find leggings are either way too long or sit just a bit high on my ankle. These are full length leggings. I have worn them a fair few times and they are still opaque on my bum no knickers showing through for me thank you! This is the first place cheapie leggings fail.
They are comfy to wear, the elastic doesn't dig in and give you an unslightly muffin top and no seams means no itchness or holes in the crotch either!
They wash really well too, again with cheap ones you tend to get bobbling and colour fade but not with these. I wash on a 40 degree wash with bio powder and fabric softener with absolutely no issues. I have also tumble dried and air dried them and again either is fine!
I would really recommend these to anyone as a really decent wardrobe staple, you may be spending a bit more but you really do get what you pay for and these will last much longer than the cheap as chips others. New look habe done really well again...i love their clothes!
I am a really big fan of leggings and wear them very often indeed. Not only do I like the shape that they give to my legs but I do find them more comfortable than jeans and the likes and find them versatile so that I can dress them up or down and wear a dress over them and so on.
These I bought in a black option (and the only colour I spotted them available to purchase them in by the way in store) and these all classed as 'Tall' and they cost just £6.99 a pair which I thought was great value for money and the reason of course that I bought them as well as needing them to of course!
They are available in sizes S, M, L and I'm guessing now that the Small is a size 8-10, a Medium a size 12-14 and that the Large is a size 16-18 and I fitted well into the Medium size which a size 12-14.
Appearance wise these are very simple indeed to look at. They are a dark jet black shade and smooth and with no seams anywhere meaning they don't dig anywhere or add bulk to a body frame. They have a slightly elasticated waist to them so have a bit of give to them and they are fully machine washable as they are made from 8% Elastane and 92% Nylon. You could tumble dry these if you wanted to but I don't and simply allow them to dry naturally after washing them on a 40C wash which really doesn't take long anyway to get them dry naturally.
What I like about these are they are a reasonably thick leggings which means you can't see through them and that although I have washed and worn these an awful lot since when I purchased them they have stayed in very good shape and with no fade, bobbling or shrinkage at all.
The ones I bought do have a longer leg to them which is fine on me as Im 5.8 but I would say that if any shorter than that to go for a shorter length though I do think that the sizing isn't made clear as to how long these actually are so I would advise buying these in store if your interested in them opposed to online though you can also purchase these from www.newlook.com if you want to!
All in all I really like these and am very pleased that I added them to my already large collection of leggings. They look great on, are great quality and do wash really well and I never feel the need to iron them as the creases fall out of them by themselves as they are meant to be skin tight anyway which mine are!
Only available from New Look and the price is as I mentioned earlier £6.99 per pair
I am quite a recent convert to leggings as I always thought they were a younger look, however my daughter persuaded me to try some on when we were on one of our shopping trips. She gave me a pair of black leggings in New Look and a long multi patterned tunic top which I reluctantly took into the changing rooms.
I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised when I looked in the mirror as the whole outfit looked really quite good. I think I was expecting to see the leggings stretched thinly around my legs but they fitted snugly. I was surprised how easy it was to put them on as they are quite soft and stretchy and are 95% polyester and 5% elastane. They have an elasticated waist and feel very comfortable. I chose a large size which is size 14/16 and the length was perfect, just coming to the bottom of my ankles. I am what I would say average height so I would say that if you are quite tall they would stop above your ankles and not look so good. Equally if you are particularly short they would be too long and wrinkle at the bottom.
I liked them so much that I bought them but didn't buy the tunic as I have quite a few items like this at home and just took it into the changing room to get the full effect of the leggings. I must say that I am very pleased with these leggings and wear them quite a lot now, mainly in the house but also when I am popping to the shops and find them very comfortable and easy to wear, and they also look quite smart. When I wear them to go out I will wear them with a pair of pumps or flat sandals which look good with the leggings. They are also quite flattering as I think they make my legs looks slimmer having something tight on them as opposed to baggy jeans, especially with a long top or cardigan.
I didn't realise that they were seamfree until I got them home which makes them even more comfortable as you haven't got any seams digging in your legs when you are sitting down, or leaving lines on your legs when you take them off. I think that these leggings look quite expensive as they seem to be quite thick and fit my legs perfectly. I wash them in a dark wash at 30 degrees and pop them on the clothes horse or the washing line to dry. They have not sagged or gone out of shape at all.
You can get cheaper leggings than these but I would be concerned of the quality and would worry that there would be too much stretch and look thin and see through. They also come in a wide range of colours but personally I would probably not buy any other colour than black, although I may consider navy ones if I had the tops to go with them.
I would recommend these leggings as they are comfortable to wear and can be dressed up with a nice top for going out and also just to slouch about the house in. I will definitely buy another pair when these wear out especially at this price.
Leggings are something that seem to have increased in popularity over the last few years. Initially I could not stand leggings, at all, on anyone, and always felt that they looked too thin and cheap. Gradually I have started to get used to leggings and now I have come to realise that they can be a great item of clothing for me to wear for exercising at home. Leggings are comfortable and they are quick to throw on. I even have a couple of pairs of leggings that I team with long tops in the summer when I want to keep cool around the garden.
Sometimes I see women wearing leggings that are really thin and almost see through. This just looks so unsightly and that is probably what put me off wearing leggings for such a long time. I have avoided buying leggings from lots of stores as I have worried about the quality and suddenly finding that I am walking around my garden with half my backside on display. I was first prompted to purchase these seamfree leggings from New Look when I was visiting the store for some other items of clothing with a friend. While we were browsing the aisles she remarked that the leggings she was working were from New Look. I had a quick look and I was surprised at how good they looked. As these leggings are only £6.99 from New Look I figured that I would give them a go and if they were embarrassingly thin or cheap I would wear them around the house for exercising purposes. These leggings, according to the website, are available in sizes small, medium and large. Small is 8/10/12, medium is 10/12/14 and large is 14/16 although the size guide online doesn't make it easy to work out but ultimately it depends on the size of your hips. These leggings, like most, stretch as they are made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane.
These leggings are quite simple to look at and it takes just seconds to pull them on. The length is ankle length, although that will depend on whether you've got the size right or you're stretching excess material over a large stomach or something. The waist area is elasticated to allow them to expand if needed and this is useful for days when I am feeling a little bloated, like after a BBQ we had recently. These leggings are seamfree which I really like although I didn't initially notice that until I wore them for the first time and was searching for them online to purchase another pair.
I like these leggings, which are black, and I find them really comfortable to wear. They are not tight or restrictive at all, despite the variety of sizes that each small, medium or large covers. The material is stretchy and when I am wearing the leggings they do not go thin or cheap looking at all. I wash my leggings on a cold wash, just to keep them looking good, and I have found that this has worked well at preventing damage occurring. There are a few bobbles on the knee area on the pair that I use to work out in but this is to be expected with regular wear and isn't a problem, particularly for the £6.99 price that I paid. The leggings are not too tight, even when they are new, but similarly they do not sag down everywhere which is important to me as I like to feel supported when working out, even if it is just by a pair of leggings. Typically I use these leggings for the garden, as I said, and for light exercise such as yoga, Kinect games and pilates.
Overall I really like these leggings. They are cheap, not too thin and they are comfortable. There are much cheaper leggings available but I feel that these leggings are quite high quality. They are a nice length on my legs, which are a little short, and they hug my waist and thighs nicely without being too tight or being saggy looking and horrible. I feel happy when wearing these leggings and I am able to partake in stretches and light exercise while wearing them with no problem at all. The seamfree part of these leggings is nice and I don't suffer from any tightness or marks on my skin when wearing these leggings either which is great for me. The leggings sit around my ankles nicely and feel supportive without being tight or constrictive. I am going to rate these leggings 5 out of 5 stars as I feel that they provide everything that I would expect from leggings and more, all while ensuring that my bum cheeks are not on show if people are enjoying a BBQ in the garden with us.
Black leggings are the ultimate wardrobe essential say New Look and I definitely have to agree. A lot of my outfits are based around the top/jumper/dress and leggings look and so I like to have a couple of pairs around at any one time in case one is in the wash etc.
I usually always buy my leggings from New Look and have done for quite a few years now. They are good quality and definitely a good price and so I always have a stock up at the start of the season. They have just come back into the shop over the last couple of weeks again as they seem to not have them on sale during the winter, probably too cold.
The leggings I like to buy are black, any other colour and they are not flattering at all, but black seems to hide any lumps and bumps and makes my legs look quite slim. The leggings are made of a nice soft black material, not shiny, then just have a nice matte finish and are very comfortable to wear. They have 8% elastane in them too so this gives them a nice bit of stretch to make them fit comfortably but not too stretchy that they just become stretchy trousers.
What I also love about these is that they are seam free, meaning they are just really all one piece of material. i think these are definitely more flattering. It's a bit like wearing tights but obviously the material is thicker and I like the look that this gives me as it takes the image away from being leggings and more a nice black looking trouser. It's nice if you are wearing something tight over the top of them as then there is no seam to show and it makes me look really slim lined.
The leggings usually loose quite a bit of their elastane around the ankles for me so I usually have to replace them every season but this is not too bad as they are fairly cheap. They also loose quite a lot of give around the knees after a while too so I don't mind replacing them.
I wash them at 30 degrees but never put them in the dryer, I just let them air dry. After quite a while they do fade but this is usually the time to replace them.
The leggings come in small, medium or large and cost £6.99. A good New Look wardrobe staple.
I have only one pair of these and I am not sure why as they are so comfortable! These are priced at a reasonable £6.99. I bought these about two years ago and they have been worn quite frequently.
The main reason I bought these, even though I had loads of other leggings at home was simply because of how black they are.
As they are not cotton like the george leggings, these have a deeper colour and are black black, they also have a shine to them.
These are very soft and comfortable to wear and look great with many different outfits.
I tend to wear these under a short playsuit with flat boots and they really do complete the outfit.
They have good stretch to them and these were very comfortable when I was in my later months of pregnancy. I have them in a size 12 and they stretched enough to accomadate my ever increasing baby bump!
Due to them being seam-free they look a lot sleeker than average leggings and work well as day wear of for an evening out.
Dressed up or down these look great.
They are machine washable and can be tumble dried.
My wardrobe consists of a lot of tunics, long tops and dresses, all of which I like to wear leggings with. I always buy Asda leggings however one thing that annoyed me was the seem down the side, I just don't like it and I find that after a few washes when the colour starts to fade around the seem area of the leggings always looks darker and they end up in the bin. Browsing in New Look I came across these seemfree leggings for just £6.99.
The leggings come in 3 sizes S, M and L, a small is 8-10, medium 12-14 and large 16-18. I am a size 12-14 and I find a medium is the perfect size for me. The leggings are currently only available in ankle length, in the spring and summer you can also get 3/4 length and short leggings in the same style.
The leggings are made from 92% nylon and 8% elastine. They feel a lot softer than other leggings however this also meant that the material is a lot thinner, this is ok if you are wearing something that covers your bum, but anything shorter and you will be flashing your knickers! They are however totally seemfree so I will forgive them for being a little thinner than other leggings I have bought. The leggings fit really well as they are stretchy they will fit all shapes. They are also just the right length for me I am 5ft 6 and they come just to my ankles so they are perfect for tucking into boots. The waistband is also stretchy and comfy.
I have washed these lots of times on a cool wash with other dark colours, each time they have come out looking as good as new. There hasn't been any bobbling and they keep their shape really well. They have also maintained their colour. In the past when I have bought leggings from other stores they have gone faded and grey looking after a few washes. I am pleased to say that these leggings have kept a deep black colour and are still going strong after several washes.
I have bought several pairs of these, they are so cheap and great value for money they are by far my favourite leggings!
These leggings fit well and are comfy and soft to touch, they are great for when you wear a long shirt of short dress, and they are not see through. when buying these leggings i do suggest to try them on first, this is because i have rather short legs meaning the leggings come up long on me, but fit perfectly around my waist, and because of these i ended up making a hole in the leggings where my heel of my foot is as they were too long for me, other than that they are great!
I have been stocking up on leggings lately as it's started getting warmer, as i feel leggings are much more comfier and lightweight than jeans so are ideal for the days when it's too warm for jeans but not quite warm enough for shorts/a skirt.
One of my most recent purchases to add to my leggings collection are this pair of New Look seamless leggings, and they are £6.99 (basically £7!) a pair, which i personally found to be a reasonable price. They can be purchased instore or online via newlook's website, and i feel that for the quality they are well worth the price, most people will think 'why would i pay £6.99 for these when i can get a similar pair for £2-3 from primark?'. The answer to that is quality. These are brilliant quality and the material (92% Nylon and 8% Elastane) is lovely, soft and comfy and they don't easily stretch out and lose shape like cheaper leggings.
These leggings are full length (although footless) and fit well. Unlike alot of budget leggings, they aren't baggy around the knees, crotch or ankles and the waistline isn't too elasticated. The stretchiness is there but these aren't the type of leggings that will stretch a huge amount. This may sound like a bad thing but it ensures the leggings keep the shape, consitency of colour etc for longer. They are not at all transparent and the material is lightweight but reasonably thick.
These leggings, like all leggings are figure hugging and do show off lumps and bumps, leggings are not the type of clothing that can be worn oversized so i would reccomend only buying these if you are happy with showing off your figure, although they can be worn with baggy long tops, tunics/dresses etc to cover up lumps and bumps and they are actually fight flattering as i personally find they make my legs (somehow!) look a bit longer. Some people wear leggings as trousers but they can also be worn under shorts/skirts. They can be worn as casual everyday wear, worn to the gym or even dressed up with jewellery and a pretty dress/top with heels for a night out.
These leggings are very comfy and versatile and i have stocked up on a few more pairs as they're great quality and the fact they're seamfree makes them look that bit better as with most other leggings the stitching is really visible, with these that is not a problem.
Colours available: Black. Sizes available: S, M, L. I am a size 8 and got an S at first which is slightly too tight, so i got an M and it fits just about right and would more than likely fit a 10. I would estimate that an L would fit a size 14-16, possibly an 18, but i doubt that anyone slightly bigger would fit into these, however Newlook do an Inspire range for slightly larger women so i'd reccomend seeing if they have these in the range.
These are hand wash only, which is a slight downside, i did attempt to wash one of my pairs in the washing machine and they bobbled quite badly and ended up going in the bin. I also wouldn't reccomend ironing them as i almost set fire to them upon attempting it!
Overall these leggings are good quality, cheap and versatile but the fact they are hand wash only does slightly let them down.
Leggings are a main part in my wardrobe, I don't often wear jeans and seeing as its coming up to summer I tend to wear them more now than ever, as I need something light, comfortable and flattering to curves. I decided to buy ones from New Look as they have never let me down clothes wise and seeing as they were such a good price for the quality, I just couldn't say no and I even bought two pairs!
These leggings are plain black, made from a stretchy cotton material, with an elasticated band around the top, to stop them from falling down. These are designed to be very fitting and surprisingly hug your figure even though they are stretchy.
I decided to go for size small and medium, as I have lot a lot of weight due to being I'll but thankfully keeping my curves in the right places (boobs and bum) and have a fairly small waist. I like to buy leggings that are fitted so they show my curves off. These fitted perfectly and the length was just right, really flattering to my bum and legs and even though they are fitted, they are extremely comfortable and lightweight. They don't ride up at the bottom or become really baggy, which I have experienced with previous leggings I have bought. So I'm really happy with my little investment and must say my bum looks great!
They come in three sizes - small, medium and large. I would recommend trying them on in store just to be sure on the sizing. If your buying online if your in-between small and medium I suggest you buy the medium, because even though they are stretchy they are fitting and you don't want any unwanted rolls to show up more than they have to. I decided to buy a pair in small and medium, this may seem weird, but I wanted a larger pair for when I'm having a fat day! The price was very good at only £6.99 the main reason why I bought two of them, normally when buying a really cheap pair of leggings, the quality isn't usually as good as a more expensive pair. But these have lasted me a long time and the colour hasn't faded at all, which is an added bonus!
They are machine washable, so no using your hands yaaay!
Overall a great pair of casual leggings, that are very comfortable and flattering to my figure, all for a great price, highly recommended!
Leggings in my opinion are something that every woman should own - at least one pair anyway as for me they are simply a wardrobe staple that I couldnt live without. Last time I bought a pair was from Primark and as I wasnt really paying attention I bought a pair that were specifically designed for weight control which is something I didnt personally need - my legs arent that great but there isnt that much fat on them that need holding in but I carried on wearing them regardless. The only thing is because they were so tight they were quite uncomfortable to wear and inevitably because they were so tight the part underneath my bum - which was much thinner than the rest (I dont have a massive backside LOL) ended up laddering like a pair of tights so I went shopping for some new ones - and not weight control this time! And I ended up finding these 'New Look Seamfree Leggings' and I bought them well mainly because New Look very rarely let me down clothes wise!
Stockists: New Look & newlook.com
Sizing: S, M & L. Id would recommend buying your 'average' size in these - try them on if you can but if your buying online then buy what you would consider your average size - I personally got the Medium size just to be 100% that they would fit even if they were slightly large.
Other Info: Ankle length hem, elasticated waist for extra comfort, designed for a figure hugging fit & these leggings are totally seamfree so you cant see any of the stitching on any part of these leggings which is something that really attracted me to them.
*The New Look website these should be hand-washed only but as long as you wash them on a low setting I think they should be fine - thats what Ive been doing and they havent fallen apart or bobbled at all yet so I dont think you NEED to hand-wash them.*
So as with all New Look clothes in reality these do look exactly like the image with this review - so if your buying online like I did you wont be disappointed as they look exactly the same. These leggings are black all over - no contrasting stitching at all - and are made from a VERY figure hugging yet surprisngly stretchy material. These leggings have kind of a wet-look texture in my opinion rather than been made from that cottom type material people associate with leggings of this kind and although these are designed to be very fitting - which they are - they arent tight or uncomfortable on me at all which is a brilliant change from my old pair! As I bought a Medium size it means they are slightly too long on my legs meaning when I put these on they have to go further up my stomach than most leggings Ive worn but again I dont think of that as a bad thing. It helps keep in my stomach and these are a god-send whne Im having a 'fat day' so I actually count that as an advantage - I do have to recommend tyring these on in store though before you buy IF you can just to make sure on the sizing.
The waist is elasticated and therefore quite stretchy so it is comfortable on your waist but it doesnt feel too loose or baggy at all so nicely comfortable and it doesnt leave any horrible marks in your skin either. These are a really great fit on my figure - they are comfortable on my waist, tight yet not too tight on my legs or bum and they reach right down to my ankles and dont ride up when Im walking - which is a problem I had with my other pair and it used to drive me insane! But the best thing about these leggings is that they are honestly seamfree. Usually with leggings of this kind you can clearly see the stitching up the legs and especially on the underneath - at the top of your legs and under your bum but on these they are totally invisible so if your top or dress happens to ride up while your wearing these there are no seams on show at all which is just perfect for me.
Ive been getting a lot of use out of these since I bought them as because of the simple design and colour they match everything I put them with. They can be worn alone with a dress or a top so everyday/casual wear or they can be put with a skirt or a dress for a night out and they look just as good so they are incredibly versatile and 100% worth the very small amount of money I paid for them. I would not hesitate to recommend these to everyone as they are cheap and are a wardrobe staple for me as they match with literally everything. 100% recommended.
Thanks For Reading.
