==Next Cable knit Slippers==
I always have cold feet and even in the summer I am reluctant to get them out of my two pairs of socks. I find this most troublesome at night and on the laminated flooring it seems to be even colder. For this reason I always have to make sure I have a good pair of slippers that are thick and cosy.
I opted for these Next Cable Knit Slippers because they looked just that, cosy and thick. They weren't an especially cheap choice when it comes to a pair of slippers but they looked good online and I decided that the price of £15 was quite a good price for the amount of slipper you get.
The slippers themselves are more like what I would call a "home Boot" as they are not at all slip on soft shoes to wear inside the house as you really need to pull them on to get them on your feet. This is easily done however and the soft creamy material the pulls up the calf is easy to get the foot into and up on the leg.
The are of a good size length wise and keep a good deal of my legs warm as well as my toes! The design means that they are super snug and cosy in the winter and even now it has started to get a bit warmer they are not too hot even through the fur inside is thick and luxurious at first.
The sole of the slipper is thick enough to last a fair amount of time whilst not being too clumpy around the home. I have washed them a few times so they are looking slightly worn although did come up well on a woollen wash and still doing strong.
The thick foam bottom of the slipper did take a little while to get worm in and to be totally comfortable but after a short period my foot soon moulded to the insole and made them fit really well to the sole. However they are rather large in the length size and although I got my regular size 6 size after a little while they did seem to stretch somewhat and I probably could have got away with initially buying them in a smaller size.
Overall I have to say I really do love these slipper boots. They are a reasonable price whilst being a very good quality and feeling lovely to wear. They are warm and snug yet light on the feet and don't clump around on my hard flooring.
They have lasted me well so far considering how much I wear them and I can see them going strong for many months to come. All in al I couldn't rate these slippers high enough and a top score of 5 out of 5 is well deserved. I may even buy another pair if they are still being sold when this pair I have come to the end of their life.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
many thanks for taking the time to read.
One word: Adorable! As soon as i spotted these on sale instore at my local Next, i had to have a pair.
At first i thought they were actually copy cat ugg boots due to the sturdy looking sole, but soon realised they were slippers due to the softness, which didn't put me off and i still bought myself a gorgeous baby pink pair as fast as i could before anyone else got a chance to grab them!
They're pretty much in a similar style to Uggs, but have a much softer appearence and feel - a thick but lightweight wool/acrylic material that feels a bit like a thick sock. The cable knit design (much like you'd find on a cable knitted cardigan or jumper) is all over the boot, adding a very vintage, wintery type look to them.
At the top of the boot is a peace of thick shoe lace type rope like tied around it for adjusting the size to fit your legs, and the lace/rope is tied in a medium sized bow which hangs at the side of the boot, the bows' ends each have 1 little pom pom attached which is essentially a little knitted ball of wool/acrylic, and it really adds that extra touch to the boots.
Inside the boots is a gorgeous fluffy/furry lining which is extremely warm, comfy and it really helps me feel better while relaxing in them after a hard day at uni and work.
Wearing these slipper boots is comfy, but as they're slippers i can't comment how comfy they are to walk about in as i only wear them around the house. As they have quite a decent sole though and they're similar to in-fashion uggs/ugg copycats, i don't think they'd look ridiculous if worn in public but i personally feel they're too nice to ruin by going outside in - the soles seem to pick up enough dirt just nipping to put the bin out!
The boots come quite a bit below my knee but quite a bit above my ankle - probably around the middle of my calf, so they not only keep my feet warm, but the lower bit of my legs too! They fit very snuggly, which i usually have problems with as my legs are slightly on the chicken-leg-skinny side, but these boots fitted just right and weren't too tight or too loose - the boots can be adjusted to be bigger or smaller.
The slipper boots are available in cream and baby pink, and are available from a size 4 upto a size 9. They're currently retailing at £15 on the Next website and instore at Next. I picked mine up in the january sale for just £8, which i'm chuffed with, and had i seen them at full price still would of bought a pair as they're so unique and eye catching, aswell as been gorgeously soft! Great to lounge about in, especially when it's cold and i feel miserable - the softness and warmness is really comforting!
As mentioned before, if you wanted to go out and about in them then i don't think they'd look silly in the slightest but i don't think they'd cope very well with mud or any other kind of stains as they're so pale. Mine have lasted well and look good as new - no marks at all; the sole is easy so clean with wetwipes however if i got the actual boots muddy i think they'd be pretty much ruined as i doubt they'd wash well.
Overall, reccomended. Cute, good quality, cosey and warm, are a decent price and fashionable!
A few Christmases ago my friend bought me some pink fluffy slipper boots from next and I just adored them and would wear them most days! However, they obviously began to fall apart a few months ago and the sole slip completely meaning should I mop the floor in my slippers I would end up with wet feet and so I ended up needing some new slippers. I was lucky that my friend bought me some and these were the cream cable knitted sock boots from next.
The boot is basically as described and is a cream knitted boot which comes to just above half way up my calf. The boot is a lovely cable knit and looks much like a sock in appearance other than the fact that it is a boot! Along the top of the boot is a tie which features two pom poms. These are purely decorative and really make the boot look cute in my opinion.
On trying these boots on I fell in love with them immediately. They quite literally feel like I am walking on cushions when I put them on although when I first got them it did feel more like I was bouncing walking with them on as they were just so comfortable. The cushioned sole certainly makes my feet feel quite supported too. The boots fit me perfectly and although they were initially snug on the calf they soon adjusted and are incredibly comfortable.
Inside the boot is a furry lining which makes the boots very warm on the feet. I have these on pretty much every night as I love my feet to be toasty warm but I have had to take them off a couple of times when my feet seem to get too warm! Although I appreciate it is coming in to summer now I do always like to have slippers as I find the nights can get cold so I know that I will get a lot of use out of these throughout the year.
My only slight gripe with these slippers is that they just get dirty quickly due to the fact that they are cream so the soles do pick up the slightest bit of dirt and it stands out like a sore thumb on an otherwise cream boot! I have washed the slippers though on a normal wash in my washing machine and they came out fine and I just made sure I shaped them when they came out of the machine.
I love these slippers as I am sure you can tell and I love them as much as I loved my previous pair of next slipper boots and so I really do think that next make a good quality slipper which are comfortable, look good as let's face it some slippers can be quite frumpy, and also last well.
You can pick these boots up from next in a small, medium or large size for £15.00 which I think is perfectly reasonable for such a good slipper boot. The slipper is made from textile/other materials throughout.
