A good quality jumper from Next, just a shame about it losing its shape

      Next Studded Sweater

I have started stocking up on winter clothes now that the nights are drawing in, on my recent visit to the Next sale event I managed to pick up a lovely studded sweater as shown in the picture. My sweater is actually the dark green version of this jumper.

The studded sweater is a very dark green colour - this shade seems to be quite 'in' this season. It is somewhat like a fir tree colour as some of my work colleagues keep pointing out and telling me I'm wearing my Christmas jumper!

The front of the sweater has silver smooth circular studs across it in an irregular pattern; there are about twenty studs across the jumper and these add a bit of sparkle and bling to it. The studs are glued onto the top but feel very sturdy and I have yet to find any have gone AWOL in the wash.

The sweater is a knitted pattern and made of 70 % cotton and 30 % acrylic. That material is quite silky and soft to the touch and has a good solid feel to it and a nice thickness for winter.

The sleeves are three quarter length which means it's quite handy/comfy to wear in milder temperatures and both the cuffs, base and neck of the jumper have a ribbed band around them giving the jumper a bit more of a pattern. After one wear I have to say this jumper stretches out and loses its shape slightly, this rectifies itself in the wash easily enough but it doesn't have much 'cling' to it during wear. I prefer my clothes to have more shape to them and fit to my figure, but it's a nice and cosy jumper rather than a figure hugging number!

      Care Instructions

      Wash on wool cycle
      Re-shape whilst damp
      Iron on reverse
      Flat dry

I paid £14 for this in the Next sale, they are selling it at full price for £28, which I would not have paid due to the jumper losing its shape during wear. However I was more than happy to pay £14 for a quality winter jumper. Also available in cream and red.
