Advantages: Good quality, good fit, huge range to choose from

Disadvantages: None

Pamela Brand is a hoisery brand that, although selling plain tights and stocking are best known for specialising in alternative coloured and patterned hoisery.

Most Camden shops, online stores and 'goth' shops sell this brand of hoisery. The cheapest I've seen them is online - through Cheekylegs.co.uk where you can pick up a pair for as little as £3. Other places usually charge betwwen £5-£10 depending on the style. In my opinion, they are worth it whatever you pay as they are very good quality.

I've been tempted my quirky coloured and patterned fashion tights sold in the likes of Primark and Topshop before. Often, however, I've found that they are poor quality, too thin and too small or short. Fashion tights most of the time come in 'One Size' - SKINNY!

I thought I'd give the Pamela Mann tights a go. I'd seen them in Camden so many times and have been tempted by them. The range of colours and styles are amazing, though I expected, being 'fashion' tights that are ultimately designed for look rather than comfort, I would come across the same problems.

I wanted a purple pair for a party and purchased them £6 from ebay (I had not then discovered cheeky legs!). This pair were opaque 50 denier in the dreaded 'one size fits all' (or should that be no one?)

I was very surprised, they fit perfectly and opaque, for a change really did mean opaque. They are extremely comfortable and I've worn them a number of times now and not a ladder in sight. Also for a bright colour they are surprisingly flattering. What do they make these things from??!

I've since bought a blue pair and have my eye on a black pair with a red lips pattern! The ranges of styles is vast - stripy, leopard print, zebra print, polka dots- even a comic book print tight! Also each pattern they seem to do in every colour. I may have to start a little collection.

If you want to jazz up your little black dress, a great idea is a pair of crazy tights. Mine are always a talking point- for the right reasons!!

Summary: Why should kids get to wear all the fun stuff?
