Advantages: Great shape, great fit - no complaints here.
Disadvantages: Could improve the range of material and colours? The '06 range is pure crap!
My experience of the Panache gel bra has been great so far. Unlike the first reviever, I would prefer the protection if I were to walk into a sharp object!
I bought one online and didn't expect too much, I'm really pleased with it though. I'm no stranger to wasting money and this is one of the few items I would count as an investment. Wonderbras and the other uplift ranges have proved too uncomfortable and obvious for me. I was looking for something that would be comfortable to wear and flattering.
My issue with other uplift bras is the line they give under a tight top and the way they make your boobs feel hard from the outside. All too often they slip upward, leaving the underwire digging into you. This has solved these problems.
Firt of all I must point out something that wasn't mentioned in the other reviews or the adverts. This will NOT give you 'bigger' boobs. It claims to increase your cup size, but I haven't noticed this to speak of. What it WILL do is give fantastic cleavage and support. You probably won't look like Pamela Anderson, but you will have a really impressive shape. I think that's about all you can expect - don't let it put you off though. A good shape makes you look bigger.
I have a really active job and I find that this bra gives me all the support of a sports bra but still allows me to wear pretty low cut tops. The cleavage isn't over the top and you don't end up with your boobs round your neck.
I agree that it is heavy - this isn't ideal, but the gel does mould to your shape and this has to be the most comfortable bra I own. It has to be more healthy to have a bra that moulds to your shape and offers decent support than an ill fitting cloth and elastic one, or a padded one which forces things where they shouldn't be. I haven't experienced any problems as a result of the weight but I wouldn't suggest wering one of these if you are already top heavy.
I think the real disadvantage has to be the range I can find online, I don't know of any department stores that stock these bras. The choice seems to be mostly lurid pink or black snakeskin and the promotional photos add nothing by displaying women who look like they charge by the hour. I'd actually really like one with no outside seams, to wear under a shirt.
All in all, I think that Panache is the best and most comfortable uplift bra available. I'd buy this again and I hope to find it some other nice colours.
************ UPDATE *************
Yesterday I bought a bra from the Panache 2006 range. This is different from the previous range I tried as the bras weigh only slightly more than normal ones. For this reason you cannot tell these have gel in them!
You also cannot tell these have gel in them as they provide no uplift whatsoever. Described as 'push up' and 'add a cup size', these are cavernous and ill shaped. They are a high cut which gives no cleavage and have tacky 'decorations' in the middle. I found the wires dug in so much I couldn't make it out of the house.
Under a T-shirt it might add a cup size, but cutting a football in half and sticking it down your top would look the same in terms of shape and size. you couldn't wear it with a strappy top and it certainly doesn't look natural!
Uncomfortable and unflattering - glad I managed to buy so many of the nice ones.
Summary: I'd buy this again and totally recommend it in terms of shape and support.

- 13/03/06 Good start there! How much can we expect to pay for them and do they come in any other range than gel? Have you tried them before to give an extended opinion on the range? Do they come in a specific size range?
D :)

- 12/03/06 Being a very top heavy girl myself i think i will give this bra a miss, agree with the colours though, i think a lot of bras are always really way out colours and the only plain white ones i seem to find are always really nasty looking things that would'nt get any sane man going in the bedroom department!
