Advantages: good fit, lasts a long time

Disadvantages: not for playtime!

A bra is a bra, you might think, but that's where you'd be wrong. As every girl knows there are 4 different kinds of bra. There are sexy, playtime bras, sports bras, sleep bras and straightfroward support bras.

If you want a playtime bra then go to Ann Summers. If you want a sports model then try Sloggi. Both manufacturers are quite expensive and you only get one bra that does a specific job for your money. This is where Playtex comes into it's own. A Playtex bra is carefully made and if it fits you properly it will be suitable for most purposes. (Mmm! maybe not the playtime things though!)

Playtex don't make flimsy, fashion bras that fit just where they touch.

Maybe a little explanation about bras in general would help to illustrate my point here.

A bra, or brassiere is an item of women's underwear. It is designed to help support a woman's breasts. This sounds like a simple matter but its not as easy as you'd think. There are lots of variation in people so one size certainly won't fit everyone.

The first modern bra was invented in New York in 1922. It was called the Maidenform and by all accounts wasn't very comfortable.

So, you've decided on a Playtex bra because they are made in so many different sizes and cup sizes. How do you choose which one is best for you?

Apparently most women, especially those with large busts, are wearing the wrong bra size. When you choose a bra you should pay more attention to fit and comfort than you do to style and construction. Test a bra with your eyes closed! When you finally choose your bra and get the correct size you should always lean forward when you put it on to ensure that you always get the best fit.

To sum up, if you like a bra that fits properly and is designed to provide correct support and fit, then buy Playtex. These bras cost around £17 each which considerably more than a supermarket own brand one but you
do get superior fit. You will also find that if you wash a Platex bra correctly you will get years of wear out of it.

Girls, if you have read this far, you should now know how to choose a comfy bra.

Guys, if you've read this far you now know what not to buy the lady in your life (get yourself to an Summers Shop, or to La Senza if you've a bit more taste in that department, it's much more romantic!)

I can never find fun ones to fit my larger than average breasts. In fact I can never find bras as cheap as £17 to fit me.

If I were to purchase fun garments for the management, I would get a smack in the gob!

I would disagree with your Mum there! She was talking about proper, sensible underwear that's made to fit perfectly. You can still buy a girl sexy fun underwear without having to get the exact size. You can buy small, medium and large in many fun items!
