Following the boom in fashion of these House of Holland tights, worn by celebs such as Rihanna and Jessie J I decided I wanted to try a new look and purchase a pair. They can be bought from a range of places such as asos, the pretty polly website or the house of holland website.
The tights themselves come in an amazing range, I purchased the suspender tights which are the most popular, but they have others such as stars, bingo balls, bones, bows and other random designs. The suspender tights I purchased off the Pretty Polly site, and they cost £10 with £2 standard delivery charge which I thought was very reasonable! I was even more impressed as I purchased them on sunday and they arrived by Tuesday! Miles better delivery service than many others where I have paid more and it has taken longer to arrive!
The tights themselves are amazingly high quality. The suspender tights only come in a 1 size fits all, but I don't see that being a problem as they are of course made of lycra so very stretchy and accommodating (not that I would recommend them to particularly large people as the size guide online stipulates the OS fits up to 160lb and 5"10). With other hosiery different size options are available. I have worn them twice and amazed at how stunning they make your legs look and there are no ladders or rips! Always a success in my book as I always find I am prone at ruining any denier leggings in an instant!
The range I find is wonderful, as for winter I do not particularly want to flaunt my legs as it is cold, and they help to make any outfit sexy. They are also very warm, and I would have thought I was wearing leggings! I am hoping to acquire a few more from their premium range as I absolutely love them!
The other day I purchased a pair of pretty polly patterned suspender tights from ebay as I just couldn't seem to find them anywhere else.
Now these tights normally retail from £6 - £17/£18. So they can come to be pretty expensive if you have a habit of ripping tights on a night out.
Putting them on I was very careful as they feel very delicate compared to normal tights say from Primark - which wouldn't be that tough themselves. The product was exactly the same as the models on the packet - which I was extremely happy about! As well as that they are a unique fashion statement - if you're brave enough to go for a quirky pair.
Personally I love the brand pretty polly. Their fit was exact, the tights were durable and after wearing them twice no damage is seen to them - and I have extremely long & sharp nails!! They are a lovely accessory to any plain outfit & jazz it up instantly.
On a side note - One tip for keeping tights hole free is to hand wash the soles of the feet and just the crotch area after wearing them. That way you escape any risks of damage from a washing machine point of view. :]
