“ River Island / t-shirt. „
I have found recently a lot of clothing I have at home, is now on the catalogues (or I just hadn't noticed it yet) so I am reviewing it all maybe a little late but nevertheless I'll continue.
I purchased this top from River Island at Christmas time in the sale along with many other bargains I wouldn't of brought at full price - its just not good enough quality for how much they charge! The top cost £19.99 at full price, but I got it in the sale for only £8 which in my eyes is a steal!
The top is black and white with a girl printed on the front making goggles with her hands. Over the top of her in bold writing it says 'No6' and it stands out quite well. The top is quite long and hangs to mid-thigh on me but may be longer/shorter on you depending on your height. The neckline is rounded and comes quite far across my shoulders and sometimes falls down - which gives an edgy look which I love, it isn't low enough to reveal any breasts though.
Size-wise, I brought a 10 (I'm usually a 6/8) but this was due to them having no other sizes. I think a size 8 would of fitted fine but I like that its a little baggy on me.
I like that the top goes with almost everything as its black and white. It can be worn on a night out too if you style it up with a pair of heels.
When washed, I put this in with the dark clothes and the white has kept perfectly - it still looks good as new. It has not bobbled or become out of shape at all, it is tumble dryer friendly and can be washed in the machine. I have to admit I'm quite pleased as I do wear it a lot, but I wouldn't be upset if it got ripped or anything as I love other clothing more.
I would recommend this t-shirt if you can still find it on the website as its a lovely fit and has lasted me a long time.
I went on a shopping trip with some friends recently, and I ended up spending loads of money and buying loads of new things, both as Christmas presents for friends and family and a few treats for myself.
I LOVE River Island and I spent ages in there rummaging through the sale racks, trying things on, buying loads of new things. One of my favourite buys from the trip was this No6 Lady Print Tshirt.
It really caught my eye, I think probably as it is black and white and grey and these are colours that I really like and that I think look quite sophisticated. I had just bought a charcoal coloured cardigan from another shop, too, and this top really matches well with it. I tried it on and it fitted well, so I decided to buy it.
The top costs £19.99 which I don't think is too expensive, although normally I would probably have hoped to pay a little less. For River Island though, this is about the price that all the tshirts are sold at. I suppose it depends on the individual and how much they would normally be willing to spend on a tshirt. River Island don't accept student discounts unfortunately.
It is made from 100% cotton which means it feels soft to wear. The shape is great, the sleeves are short as you can see in the picture, and they are rolled up a little bit at the ends. The neck is not too low. I have bought tshirts from River Island in the past where the neck is really wide and I have had to wear a vest underneath, but this one's neck is the perfect fit, for me anyway and I would probably recommend trying this on before you buy it.
If you are worried about the colours fading then don't be. I have washed this a couple of times already and it hasn't faded yet at all. I can't say whether it won't have faded in six months time though but my best guess is that it will have, a tiny bit. For now though the tshirt looks great and I really love wearing it. I'm pleased with this purchase.
