Advantages: Lovely accessories

Disadvantages: Be careful which items you buy - some could shrink

Being a regular Sainsbury shopper, I always have a browse around the clothing range for both myself and my daughter. Sainsbury regularly have 25% reduction deals on their clothing (usually for a week) and this always helps when your clothing yourself and your family.

The womens section has a variety of items, from the very casual (velor type tracksuit bottoms and t shirts) through to jeans and tops, suits and dresses and some outfits suitable for a night on the town. For a supermarket, the selection is very impressive. Similarly, they have a really lovely range of accessories. Their necklaces and earrings are on trend, as are their handbags and shoes. The sizes start at 8 and go through to a 18-20. I would however say that I do find that their trousers in particular are a little on the small size in comparison to a high street brand, but all in all are well cut and wash well.

The children's clothing range is also quite varied. Prices start at as little as £2.00 for a tshirt type top, and most dresses range for £7.00 to £10.00. I do find however that you have to be more careful what you purchase in the children's clothing range. Some of the items I have bought have not washed particularly well, losing their colour and texture almost straight away. The last item I purchased was a pack of body suits which were washed and dried exactly as the label suggested. They shrunk on the first wash - the arms by about half an inch and the body by an inch! I did return these to Sainsbury and they were very good and offered me a refund, but it has put me off buying the childrens clothes since.

Summary: Always worth a look

I agree about the quality of some of the childrens range washing badly.

I wish you had been able to get kid's clothes at these prices when mine were young. I had to buy nearly everything from Mothercare !
