      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I love my Sloggi knickers and I will be getting some more soon.

I have always seen Sloggi knickers for sale in department stores and some lingerie stores but had never tried some until recently. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and bought some last month.

They're not cheap knickers. I paid full price for mine (£12) at the Triumph lingerie store. They are black hipster knickers in a very thin Nylon material which when you first pick them up make you wonder what your paying for (they also do knickers in other materials like cotton and a new Micromodal fabric I havent tried yet) and then you put them on and they are just so comfy it makes you smile.

The fabric is thin and airy but also strong and stretchy so they just hug your body without a hint of discomfort. Being a thin material the seams are all very thin too so you dont get any panty line which is always a worry for me under my work trousers. I always find myself searching for these knickers to wear first if they are clean - and they wash very well. Always keep their shape and dry so so quickly, they still look new and un-worn after many washes.

Generally the styling is very simple with Sloggi knickers but this is fine with me for everyday wear and I will certainly be buying some more soon although I will be hunting around for any I can find in a sale.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Great pants just watch the price of them!

When I was growing up my mother only ever bought me Sloggi knickers, the same as she wore. Slightly more expensive on the market than others they always served us well however when I got older and in charge of buying my own undergrmets I soon started wearing thongs and strings in an assortment of designs and colours.

However at almost 38 years old now although I still buy fancy knickers I am at a stage where I appreciate good quality undies that are comfortable to wear. You get sick after a while of having cheese graters stuck up your bum chaffing and rubbish knickers that cost a quid falling apart after only being on a 30c wash and heaven forbid the elastic going...yep thats happened just the once to me lol.

So when online a good while back now I was on my favoured catalogue site Freemans (www.freemans.com) and decided to invest in a few pairs of something Sloggi. It had been a time since I last tried or even looked at the range of knickers that they now do and so I was surprised that no longer do Sloggi only sell black or white apple catchers (big knickers) but quite a few styles nowadays!

Like I say though these are available in a few styles though on the Fremans website they only sell the hipsters, briefs, high waisted briefs and Thai style all in basic colours which are black white and nude and nothing fancy at all.

I opted for the pack of 3 Thai briefs which basically means that they are are high legged ones and to me looked a bit more fashionable (though not overly so to be fair lol) than the other designs I could have chose from and the pack of 3 I got was in the black though I could have opted for a pack of 3 in white and they cost me £30.00 which of course equates to £10.00 a pair.

      The Knicks:

Well as I have stated already these are high legged, matt black, lightweight and soft feel knickers. Made from 95% cotton and 5% elastane these are referred to as 'core spun' which means none of the elastane in them comes into contact with the skin so no tightness is given anywhere on the overall fit of them.

To the front right hand side of the top of the knickers there is a very small black label with Sloggi written on there in white writing so they are not too heavily labelled and all in all these are very nice breathable and comfortable knickers to wear.

They sit just below my belly button and don't roll down, they are nicely trimmed with like a soft black lace edging to the legholes and around the top of the knickers and contain a small panel of black gusset on the inside of them .

They are fully machine washable and tumble dry safe, none see through and practical pants these. I have had no problems in washing and drying them at all as you would really expect when you are paying £10.00 a pair but nowadays I can see why my mother used to always buy them us...they are simply so easy to wash and wear, are not visible under tight fitting clothes and feel as light as a feather on and whats more if you look ater them they will last you years and years!

These are available in sizes 10-20 and in my opinion are very true to size!

Available from all good shops and catalogues and google them if interested of course!

        Great knickers!

Now i'm quite a traditionalist when it comes to knickers - I don't have a knicker drawer overflowing with beautiful colours. I like big knickers that keep your belly in check and are comfy, and I like black knickers. In short I like black sloggi maxi knickers!

The best thing about sloggis are they retain their shape and "wash up nice" (Oh my God - i'm turning into my mum!). They're also incredibly comfortable to wear to the point that you can't actually feel them!

Made from a high cotton content with just a smidge of elastane they're very soft and each pair has the little sloggi cotton tag to the front right.

They also can't be seen under your clothes and they make sure you have a good shape.

They're a bit pricier than some knickers but i've discovered in the past that buying cheap high street knickers is a false economy as you end up having to replace them really quickly!

So, for comfy pants sloggi is the clear winner. Get loads of them and never suffer from uncomfy pants syndrome ever again! ;-)

        Cotton and Lycra briefs

St Andrews Day will be upon us soon and many Scots men will be wearing their kilts. They have to suffer the jokes about what a Scotsman wears under his kilt etc but do you know ladies wore nothing under their skirts a few centuries ago. I can't imagine what that was like! I like to know my knickers, pants, briefs, undies or drawers or what ever you might call them are going to stay in place and feel comfortable.

I'm too old to wear thongs that look so uncomfortable and I hate seeing them show above the waistline/hipline of ladies trousers as they bend down - the feminine equivalent of Builders bums! I always wore Marks and Spencers pants but a few years ago, fed up with the cotton losing it shape and slipping down I bought a pack of 4 Sloggi briefs and have continued to buy them until recently when I tried a few pairs from Marks once again.

Sloggi briefs were launched back in 1979 believe it or not and designed briefs that would be comfortable and keep their shape. There are many designs now and even some for men! There are Tai, Midi, Maxi and although these are fairly plain in style there are some really pretty ones in the Romantic range with lace panels and sheen to the fabric.

The classic styling and comfort is a winner in my mind and the mixture of 95% high quality cotton and 5% Lycra works really well. The Tai range is in sizes 10-20 but other styles range from 10 -26 and the colours vary from white only to white, black, poudre and champagne. For those that like hipster briefs, they are available and also a longer length leg. There is high leg cut too and a sporty short style.

Sloggi is probably more popular for older ladies but they do try and make some briefs that may attract the younger market. I think because they fit well they don't show a knicker mark on tighter trousers and skirts.

They are available from many shops like Debenhams and Figleaves and catalogues like Empire and Daxon. It is worth looking out for offers as quite often you get a free pair in a pack of 4. I have seen them on sale for £12 for 2 pairs of Tai Control briefs, 4 Midi briefs for £17.50 and 7 maxis for £29.50. Seems expensive? Well yes and no. They last well, wash easily and keep their colour and looks for ages, I have pairs over a couple of years old, eventually the Lycra goes and I have put my finger through near the waistband but I would say they are very old ones!

I would recommend any lady to try them, apart from the Romance style they are plain and not glamorous but they are comfy and stay in place!

          I love sloggi

Well I hate knickers pants what ever you want to call them they are literally a pain in the bum! Why are they always so uncomfortable? Anyway, sloggi have found the solution... Comfortable pants! Yeah

Last week I finally bought, some I must have spend hundreds of pounds on cheap knickers that are uncomfortable. last weekend I was out shopping and I bought myself a pack of 4 pairs of sloggi knickers for £13.50 (sloggi basic midi in black) I got home and changed out of my knickers that spend all there time slipping off my bum cheeks or up my bottom and put on my new sloggi knickers. I Bought size 12 although I am size 14 in jeans I find I need knickers a size smaller or they are huge and baggy! Within 10 minutes of wearing my new pants I had forgot all about them they sit comfortable on my bottom and stay there. Such a simple thing that I have never found before!

I would highly recommend sloggi knickers. I have washed them with no problem. Washing has caused problems in the past as they fit then I wash them and they do not fit the same after but sloggi do! My next plan is to go and buy more so I can chuck out all my other pants!

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

So she obviously has never worn Sloggis. She said it was to avoid VPL – you know, those giveaway crinkly lines that appear, particularly in the summer months, on many a British bottom. The cause? – Saggy pants. Not so with wonderful Sloggis. These pants are made in 95% cotton (less in control briefs) and 5% Elastane which gives them a cool softness but with the ability to retain their shape whatever you do to them. They are so comfortable because they just mould to your body and stay there – definitely no Visible Panty Line. So are they all Brigitte Jonesish big pants? – not at all! There is a full range of styles including tangas, shorts, hi-leg, and maxi-briefs - no wild colours here - mainly white or black, but sizes to suit all - up to a 30 in some styles! And now the range has extended to control briefs, ‘Chic’- a lacy range and cotton-rich bras. However, compared to good old M & S pants, these may seem a bit expensive – the cost of the range varies obviously, but they come in at around £6 per pair – their longevity through weekly washing more than makes up for this. I have several pairs making their way into their third year, still hole free and looking fresh – so if, as my Mother always fears, I get run over, when I’m laying on the operating table and they whip off my skirt, my Sloggis will be looking pristine. For the sake of mankind, lets hope Judith never finds herself in the same position!
