Sloggi Knickers
by xxfoxyredxx When I was growing up my mother only ever bought me Sloggi knickers, the same as she wore. Slightly more expensive on the market than others they always served us well however when I got older and in charge of buying my own undergrmets I soon started wearing thongs and strings in an assortment of designs and colours. However ... at almost 38 years old now although I still buy fancy knickers I am at a stage where I appreciate good quality undies that are comfortable to wear. You get sick after a while of having cheese graters stuck up your bum chaffing and rubbish knickers that cost a quid falling apart after only being on a 30c wash and heaven forbid the elastic going...yep thats happened just the once to me lol. So when online a good while back now I was on my favoured catalogue site Freemans (www.freemans.com) and decided to invest in a few pairs of something Sloggi. It had been a time since I last tried or even looked at the range of knickers that they now do and so I was surprised that no longer do Sloggi only sell black or white apple catchers (big knickers) but quite a few styles nowadays! Like I say though these are available in a few styles though on the Fremans website they only sell the hipsters, briefs, high waisted briefs and Thai style all in basic colours which are black white and nude and nothing fancy at all. I opted for the pack of 3 Thai briefs which basically means that they are are high legged ones and to me looked a bit more fashionable (though not overly so to be fair lol) than the other designs I could have chose from and the pack of 3 I got was in the black though I could have opted for a pack of 3 in white and they cost me £30.00 which of course equates to £10.00 a pair. The Knicks: Well as I have stated already these are high legged, matt black, lightweight and soft feel knickers. Made from 95% cotton and 5% elastane these are referred to as 'core spun' which means none of the elastane in them comes into contact with the skin so no tightness is given anywhere on the overall fit of them. To the front right hand side of the top of the knickers there is a very small black label with Sloggi written on there in white writing so they are not too heavily labelled and all in all these are very nice breathable and comfortable knickers to wear. They sit just below my belly button and don't roll down, they are nicely trimmed with like a soft black lace edging to the legholes and around the top of the knickers and contain a small panel of black gusset on the inside of them . They are fully machine washable and tumble dry safe, none see through and practical pants these. I have had no problems in washing and drying them at all as you would really expect when you are paying £10.00 a pair but nowadays I can see why my mother used to always buy them us...they are simply so easy to wash and wear, are not visible under tight fitting clothes and feel as light as a feather on and whats more if you look ater them they will last you years and years! These are available in sizes 10-20 and in my opinion are very true to size! Available from all good shops and catalogues and google them if interested of course! Read the complete review |

Sloggi Knickers
by bungle82 Now i'm quite a traditionalist when it comes to knickers - I don't have a knicker drawer overflowing with beautiful colours. I like big knickers that keep your belly in check and are comfy, and I like black knickers. In short I like black sloggi maxi knickers! The best thing about sloggis are they retain their shape and ... "wash up nice" (Oh my God - i'm turning into my mum!). They're also incredibly comfortable to wear to the point that you can't actually feel them! Made from a high cotton content with just a smidge of elastane they're very soft and each pair has the little sloggi cotton tag to the front right. They also can't be seen under your clothes and they make sure you have a good shape. They're a bit pricier than some knickers but i've discovered in the past that buying cheap high street knickers is a false economy as you end up having to replace them really quickly! So, for comfy pants sloggi is the clear winner. Get loads of them and never suffer from uncomfy pants syndrome ever again! ;-) Read the complete review |

Sloggi Double Comfort Top
by Froxwedge Sloggi double comfort tops are bras made from soft cotton and 5 per cent elastane. They have no fastenings. You put them on over your head and pull them down over your breasts. I've got comfort tops in both black and white, and my newest ones cost £9. Shop around and you'll find them slightly cheaper, with one-off colour choices. ... They keep their stretch for years. When they eventually wear out, it's the side seams that go first. I switched to Sloggi comfort tops several years ago when I went through a bad health patch and didn't have the co-ordination or energy to struggle with bra hooks. Though I'm much better now, I still wear Sloggis. They really are comfortable. If I'm too tired to get undressed at night I can sleep in them, and ditto if I get ready the night before because I don't trust myself to get washed and dressed the next morning. Nevertheless Sloggi comfort tops are not a disability aid. Neither are they the lingerie equivalent of old slippers. Their sporty look is nothing you need to hide. The only time I don't wear a comfort top is when I choose clothes that need extra breast definition. I'm 32DD, so I do need some control. You need to be able to raise your arms to put on a Sloggi comfort top without help. Read the complete review |
