      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Worth a fiver but no more in my opinion!

Quite often when I order from catalogues online I have no idea what I have in mind to purchase. I get engrossed with sale pages and usually find some right bargains there. This I spotted reduced from £15.00 to £5.00 and I was in two minds about this purchase. I mean when I am ever going to need a fascinator eh? lol. However I knew I was making a saving and decided that I would by it 'just in case' and I always go out New Years Eve and the likes so it didn't harm me to put it away!

      The Fascinator Itself:

This comes in one size to fit all and in colours pink, black and turquoise (which is more of a jade colour I reckon) and I opted for the black option thinking it was probably a bit more versatile.

This came simply in a plain cardboard box and was I excited to be opening such a girly item! However I was a little disappointed in its appearance to be honest!

What I got was a standard looking thin satin headband. It is flexible and well made and sits nicely on the head though to be fair to it. The feathers form a large black flower and are smooth to look at and touch with just a few strands of feathers to the centre of the flower sticking out and they don't fall out or anything like that. The flower is attached via a small and round cheap looking plastic pretend diamond. It is clasped on with a black clasp which does give it a cheap look and the flower is not flexible at all and just sort of stands up and you can't move it into another position.

We are only told on the label that comes with it that it is made from a 100% feathers excluding the trims and not to expose it to water and of course you have no real way of keeping this clean as you can't wash it or anything.

Its nice enough but not outstanding. I mean I wouldn't feel out of place wearing this as a normal headband really as to me this is not a fascinating fascinator at all and not one bit in your face or fancy

Since purchasing this in the sale this is now on offer at the higher price than I paid of £15.00 and only available from Kay&Co.com
