Fantastic beautiful waistcoat, a must have!

I'm a fashion addict I love everything from clothes to shoes and accessories. I was browsing through the very website and came across this lace waistcoat, earlier during the day I have bought some new jeans and wanted a few things to go with it and seeing as it was on a sale at such a bargain price, I just couldn't say no.

This cream lace waistcoat is made from 100% polyester. Its sleeveless with a wide shoulder section. This is see through and would not recommend to wear on its own, unless you were wearing it on the beach with a bikini underneath, as it is very lightweight and summery. These is a beige silk ribbon that ties at the waist, which adds a little definition. There is darker cream contrasting piece of lace to each side of the shoulder area going across the base of the waistcoat, then all around the centre of it there is a larger band of lace.

This is such a pretty, girly waistcoat. The design is absolutely gorgeous and is very flattering. Its very versatile, as it goes with pretty much any colour or type of clothing, due to the fact its a light colour. I love wearing it with my jeans, as the length is brilliant and ends just below my bum, I can easily get away with wearing it with leggings, as long as a top is worn underneath as it is very see through. It is very lightweight and great for summer as it doesn't make you feel overheated or sweaty. The material seems very strong, seeing as its lace I was expect a little fraying after the first couple of washes, but to my surprise it is still in great condition. It is also safe to go into the tumble drying, I have left it to dry naturally also which didn't make a difference to the shape or colour.

I bought this for £6 about a week ago, checking online on the very website it is still currently on sale. There is only one colour option available which is the cream colour, its a beautiful colour and you couldn't go wrong. It was orginally priced at £25 which is quite over priced for me and I probably wouldn't of bought it if it wasn't on sale. But for £6 this is fantastic quality and such a lovely flattering design. Sizes available at the moment are 14-28, when I bought this, I decided to go for a size 8 as its my average size and it fits extremely well. Highly recommend. This is available on other online stores and is also available in M&Co.

Overall a lovely waistcoat, which is very versatile and I highly recommend that you get on the website and order yourself one before it goes out of the sale.

A nice enough buy but not outstanding quality looking wise

Very often I will browse at catalogues with nothing really in mind to buy and will browse for bargains and more often than not I will order things that are on the sale pages of the ones I use such as Freeman's and K&Co (previously known as Kays). What I like about the catalogues I use is that they offer free delivery and returns on everything so by ordering stuff I have nothing to lose (unless I end up liking all the stuff to which I got a huge bill at the end of the month for which is always shocking lol).

This I ordered in both the cream option that you can see at the top of this review page and the floral option of this is available on the website. The floral option looked like cheap curtains draped over my body but this one I really, really liked and as I already had just bought myself a nice cream coloured dress and felt that this would go over that over Eastertime when I was visiting my Mothers with my gorgeous boyfriend!

In sizes 8-28 this polyester top is true to size in my opinion and I ordered the size 10 option (which I normally am and it fits beautifully).

So like I said I kept the cream option but before ordering this do be aware that this cream waistcoat looks light on the website and in the catalogue however the actual item is more a murky, deeper cream.

It is see through.... very, so a top underneath this is vital! Shaped in the style of a waistcoat this has a wide shoulder section and comes to below the bum with no sleeves at all. There is darker cream contrasting piece of lace to each side of the shoulder area going across, the base of the waistcoat and then all around the centre of it there is a larger band of the lace with a piece of beige silk ribbon that acts as a tie then the inside edges are slightly trimmed with the same lace.

This is a nicely made garment and rather pretty. It is machine washable and tumble dry safe and really does need an iron or looks awful, I wash mine and so on and had no issues with it at all with shrinkage, colour loss or anything adverse at all.

The tie is great, its nice and long so not only can I securely tie it but it nips it in at my waist giving it a nice shape opposed to looking like net curtains when not done up!

This is a very well made item and worth its £13.00 price tag whilst its on sale however this is soon going back up to its regular price of £32.00 and I wouldn't buy it at that price simply because I couldn't call it gorgeous, a must have or needed however I do wear it and think its smart and very well made indeed.

      Only available from K&co.com
