“ Brand: South / Gender: Women / Type: Casual Wear „
This is a simple, oversized V neck boyfriend jumper. It's long sleeved and a soft, cosey wool material, although not very thick and if i'm honest i usually have to wear a vest or t shirt underneath if it's a cold day as the jumper is pretty lightweight, and it alone doesn't keep me very warm atall, but it's ideal to wear on days like today when it's warm but there's a slight chilly wind. The jumper comes just below my bum which makes it ideal for wearing with leggings as i prefer longer tops when wearing them!
It's the sort of top that looks good slung on with jeans but still looks like you've made atleast a bit of effort! I've noticed personally that the jumper is baggier around my stomach and hips than it is around my arms, even though i'm certianly in proportion! I'm not keen on this as it looks like i have little twig arms and a great big belly if people see me stood at a funny angle and don't know that the jumper is oversized, but to be honest i don't care because it's so comfy! It does make me look a tad bigger than i actually am, but it's obvious it's a baggy, oversized top. It's not the kind of top i'd wear alot out in public, and to be fair i only wear it with pj's to lounge around, or stick it on with a pair of leggings or jeans to nip down to Tesco etc. As mentioned before it's long sleeved, and i personally roll them up a bit to add a more unique look.
The V neck is quite deep, and unless you're brave, i'd reccomend a vest or t shirt underneath just incase!
The jumper has two medium sized, basic pockets on the front that are pretty useless as they aren't deep enough or strong enough to hold anything securely, and in my opinion the pockets are simply for show.
The jumper is available in sizes (UK)8 to 24, so most people will be able to wear them. There are various colours; Grey, Black, Pink, White, Blue, Turqouise and orange. I bought mine online from k&co's knitwear range in the sale at just £6, however it's now available on many websites, (including k&co) for around the £16-£18 mark. I am happy with the price i paid but wouldn't pay any more than that, as to be blunt there are similar looking, just as soft jumpers in my local primark at £1.50.
Overall i would reccomend it if you prefer spending a decent amount of money of clothing, but i can honestly say that you can find cheaper, higher quality products that are as soft and comfy, if not comfier than this.
South Oversized Boyfriend Jumper
It is that time of year again when the weather is getting a bit chilly outside and I decided to shop around and buy a few warmer items. Sometimes it is quite hard to find a selection of nice jumpers for women and I wanted something that would be warm, but also feminine. Rather than just do what I usually do and steal the hubby's jumpers.
The jumpers (as you can probably guess from the dooyoo catalogue name) are big made, which of course is intentional as they are meant to be an oversized, slightly boyfriend fitting type jumper. I would recommend definitely sticking to ordering the size you would normally be and don't be tempted to go and order a size bigger, which will be too big for you. Personally, I ordered the size range I would normal fall under and these are still lovely and oversized without being too too big.
The sleeves are long, again another feature that I love. I do tend to push them up so that they don't get in my way bit they do make the jumper that bit cosier when you can pull them down and tuck your hands into the sleeves. The material around the wrists seems to be good and elastic, and hasn't gone out of shape even thou I do spend a lot of time either pushing the sleeves up or pulling them back down.
The jumper also has two pockets, these pockets are not suitable for storing anything as whatever you put in them will more than likely just fall out. However, as a decorative feature and for keeping my hands warm or to stop me fidgeting when I shouldn't, I think that that these pockets are a great idea.
There are quite a few colours available from Kays and I bought this jumper in pink and black. These jumpers are also very easy to dress down or dress up, I wore the black one with a belt and some nice trousers to a meal out with friends where I wanted to make sure that I not only looked good but was kept warm.
The cotton blend material for these jumpers is really quite thin. It is almost see through, but it is still quite warm to wear. Personally, I don't think that you can or should wear these jumpers without a top underneath. Especially when you realise the neck of the jumper is also quite a low V-neck design.
Importantly these jumpers wash relatively well, I have so far not noticed or experience too much bobbling, or any shrinking or stretching. The price I paid for each of the jumpers was £8.50, they were originally on sale for £17. For the sale price I think that these jumpers are a fantastic bargain and I have already worn them on many occasions.
I bought these jumpers from Kays online store and this was the first time I had ever ordered anything from Kays online and it was a simple, easy process and my items were delivered within the same week. In the future I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and I would recommend them to others.
Four out of five stars, I have found myself wearing these jumpers quite a lot recently as the weather has been getting colder and colder. These are functional, practical and I like the look of them. The oversized proportions are quite flattering to my curves and these jumpers are a nice warm layer in winter. I would happily recommend these to other people.
(Thanks to xxfoxyredxx for the original review that inspired me to buy these)
With recently stocking up on winter warming items (as I am very cold living by the sea!) I have been doing a lot of shopping from the Kays catalogue (also online at www.kays.com). This jumper took my fancy as I love a jumper to look smart but still slouch about in and in colours Black, grey-marl, fuchsia, navy or white I had a few to choose from and eventually I settled on grey-marl.
In sizes 8/10, 12/14/ 16/18, 20/22 and a size 24 all reduced to £8.50 a jumper opposed to the usual price of £17.00 each I thought if offered great value!
Made from cotton this is meant to be oversized so if you order a size 8/10 its more a generous size 10 etc. The style of this is very simple. It has a deep v neck to the front of it which is slightly ribbed as are the cuffs, it has long sleeves and then its slightly ribbed to the bottom of the jumper though not too clingy and there is a pocket to each side of the jumper which is rather deep and they are slats.
The jumper is soft, machine washable and suitable for tumble drying and I have had no problems with the care of mine at all. It hasn't gone bobbly, stretched at all and hasn't faded and is of decent quality.
The length of this is really great, the sleeves are rather long so they can be turned up for people with shorter arms and the pockets are great for keeping your hands warm in though I never use mine to store things in as stuff isn't secure in there and simply falls out!
Not too slouchy but it does have give within it, it is quite smart, warm and feels nice against the skin and I like mine and think its very worth the money and now is a great time to order one with such a saving to be made!
I purchased mine from Kays!
