“ Brand: South / Dress „
With it coming up to Easter I have been busily collecting a few new items of clothing. I no longer live in the West Midlands where I come from and where alot of my family and friends are but am now in North Somerset and I have been getting so excited cos me and my boyfriend are going there to stay with my parents for the week.
In that time I know we are going for a couple of meals and a few nights out and I thought what a great excuse to treat myself to some new outfits!
This one costing £65.00 a dress on the Kay&Co website really did appeal to me. Not too short or revealing but with a sheer look to the fabric and having sequins and an a-line 60's style to it I decided I simply had to try it on at home and decide if I loved it or not and with free delivery of this dress and return of it (if I didn't like it!) I thought it had to be worth a try and when I tried it on I was stunned at how gorgeous it looked on me and felt it was worth every penny to feel that good in a dress lol!
This dress comes in two colour options and that is black and coral. I opted for mine in the black simply because I felt it was more evening wear to me and easier to match up with other things I already owned!
In sizes 8-24 (with limited stock now appearing in both colours and sizes so be quick if you fancy one!) this actually is a really versatile dress and you can kind of dress it down with leggings and wedges but also with heels and the likes for a glam evening look if you prefer to.
It is made from... Shell: Polyester. Lining: Polyester and is of course double layered with a length of 36 inches. The outer layer of the dress is attached to the inner but it is fully lined so you get a sheer look but can't see through the garment and the outer layer to me does look like chiffon.
As I mentioned previously this dress is a-line and on my 5.8 frame this comes to just above my knees. It has a very high slash sort of neck to it and a concealed and rather long, same as the dress coloured zip to the back of it which moves up and dowan beautifully. What is gorgeous and finishes off an otherwise plain tunic dress is the fact that it is 3/4 length sleeves that are then finished off with large same colour sequins as the material colour you have chosen. These are well stitched on and beautiful and blingly and sometimes I always think sequins can look a bit tacky these really don't and simply add a bit of glamour and no matter how rough I am wearing this dress the sequins don't fall off!
The only drawback with this dress is that it is only suitable for dry cleaning because of the material and sequins that are on it however it is a really lovely and simple dress with a a cute twist to it!
I love this dress as I feel that the size I purchased it in is true to size and being a-line it does flare very slightly over the hips which is rather flattering and its a nice length too! Lovely!
