Your memory is perfect, I reviewed my Adidas swimsuit a couple of months ago and now I would like to review my Speedo swimsuit. The thing is that I have lost weight and I had to buy a smaller swimsuit. This is a basic one too as there is a good chance that I will need a smaller soon. Let's say I work on it hardly.
Speedo is one of my favourite brands, is a professional swimwear manufacturer. They have loads of products for competitive swimmers but for us leisure swimmers as well. They sell a wide range of swimwear, goggles, swimming caps, nose clips, etc. You can buy Speedo products through their online shop, on Amazon and in high street shops. I think their products are of good quality and as they specialised on swimwear it is a brand you can trust.
Chlorine resistant - The material of this swimsuit is chlorine resistant. This is quite basic characteristics nowadays. Most of the manufacturers say about their swimsuits that it's chlorine resistant but as I had a very large collection of swimsuits I can say it is not always true. This material is not as stretchy as swimsuits in general and it seems really different to the majority of the swimsuit materials. I use it for a couple of weeks and it looks as new.
Superior shape retention - If you choose the good size of swimsuit it supports your muscles while swimming. Providing very close fit means that hardly leaves anything to men's imagination.
Racer back - I don't say it is easy to put on or take off this swimsuit but wearing it is very comfortable and the racer back ensures me that it won't fall down of me by accident. Its cut makes movement easy anyway I swim.
Speedo offers the Endurance Plus Medalist Women Swimsuits in black, light blue and navy. I had so many black sportswear nowadays that I decided to buy navy this time. It is quite dark blue so it is hard to decide for first sight whether it is navy or black, especially when it is wet already.
There is a white Speedo logo in front on the chest but as it is quite small one it is not that flashy. There is an endurance label on the left hip. I found that the colour of the swimsuit has not changed at all since I use it.
Most swimsuits are made of 80% Nylon and 20% Elastane which is the regular swimsuit material. Speedo Endurance Plus Medalist is made of 50% Polyester and 50% Polybutylene. This material seems to be denser and less stretchy. It is not as water absorbent as other materials so it dries quite quickly after use. I think it is not as soft as the regular materials but it didn't hurt my skin at all. As it is not stretchy it is worth trying on before shopping.
I ordered mine from Amazon as I had a voucher. It cost me 12.47 pounds which I think is a bargain for it. I have to admit that the size was given a bit strangely and I had to send back the first swimsuit I received as it was extremely large but Amazon refunded the postage so I had order a smaller one which luckily fitted me perfectly.
The leg of this swimsuit is about medium which is comfortable for me. Low cuts are not very advantageous on me as I have hour glass shape but high cuts show more that I intend to show... So medium works perfectly for me.
The racer back is quite open it is more like an x on my back. The Adidas was more closed compared to this. I don't really mind just makes my heart rate monitor's chest strap more visible. I use a heart rate monitor watch to check my pulse and the lost calories while swimming. This open back makes the move of the back muscles easy, doesn't disturb at all while swimming.
As it is a basic swimwear it doesn't contain breast support. There is a single layer material which is stretchy enough to support breasts for swimming. I guess some complain for making them flat, I don't face this problem... So for those who are looking for extra breast support or push up effect this is not the suitable model. This is really a basic one.
However it is chlorine resistant it is worth washing it in lukewarm water using only detergent, no fabric conditioner. I wash it after swimming and I found that it dries really quickly.
I think for this money I received a really good product. I like its colour and the modest size label as I don't like flashy stuff. Its cut makes wearing it comfortable. I found that the material is not as soft and stretchy as other swimsuits but it is very comfortable wearing it. It is a basic model, so no breast support or extra cut for special shaping effect. The racer back is more open than generally so the stripes provide some extra elasticity and closer fit. Overall this swimsuit is of close fit, especially when it is wet... let's say for men's pleasure doesn't leave too much for their imagination.
Do I recommend it? Yes, I think it is really good value for the money it costs. For swimming is perfect.
These Speedo swimming togs are about as basic as you get in a regular training swimmer. They come in subdued tones like black and navy blue and have only the minimal speedo logo in the centre of the chest. They certainly aren't flashy, but then they are affordable!
At 20 quid for the women's sizes, these are definitely amongst the most affordable swimmers that I could find online. Of course there are lots of other designs with bright patterns or slightly more unusual cuts, but they are up to and over double the price, and frankly I just don't think it's worth it. If all you're looking for are some comfortable swimmers for swimming laps in your local pool, then these are definitely worth thinking about.
The swimmers are made from a standard lycra, not the thicker chlorine-resistant stuff that has less elasticity, but the thin, flexible, comfortable lycra. Of course this does mean that they are not going to last as long as the chlorine resistant version. The fabric has only a minimal gloss on it, so is quite flattering on the body (not shining unflatteringly on any lumps and bumps!).
The leg on these Speedo Endurance swimmers is of a medium height, which I find just right, not being too granny-ish but nor requiring that you get a full brazilian before going swimming. They sit comfortably as well and do not seem to do any disappearing acts at the back, if you know what I mean. THey stay where they should be.
The top is comfortable, and flattering without being so low that the water drags every time you push off the wall of the pool. The straps are also small and thin at the back, being just the same width as at the front joined together. This is great as it means you won't end up with huge tan lines.
Basically, these swimmers are, in a nutshell, comfortable, functional, and affordable. Recommended.
Exclusive to speedo the Endurance plus range offers a number of benefits to the wearer. Chlorine resistant. Improved elasticity and colour durability. Quick drying. Improved comfort with a softer feel and superior shape retention. Improved snagging resistance.
