Advantages: Good-looking stuff

Disadvantages: Pricey

Thought I would give a review of Ted Baker from a man's perspective given that the existing reviews are probably more relevant to women given that they are written by women!

Ted Baker for men is seen as a high-end clothing label and this is often reflected in the price. Ted operates out of its own dedicated stores and is also available in larger stores such as House of Fraser, where there is often a surprisingly large choice of clothing. Clothes can also be bought on the internet. Ted produces a range of garments from t-shirts to shirts and from suits to shoes. Belts, underwear, jeans and jumpers are also widely available.

The quality of clothing is first class but really ought to be considering the prices charged. eg. £30ish for a t-shirt, £50 for a shirt. The brand itself produces an image of class and style without being too prententious. Ted's clothes have an air of sophistication about them and are viewed as pretty fashionable I would have thought. The clothes are mainly smart or leisure wear: Ted does not do sportswear.

Ted's t-shirts are either fairly plain in a block colour with the words Ted Baker (sometimes London afterwards) or pretty complex with a floral pattern or something similar giving a more interesting look. The jumpers are also either plain or striped and some can even be turned inside out and worn called Ted 'Reversibles' I believe. The shirts are also either plain or striped and can come in some pretty bright colours! Yet again though, they look very nice and are well worth the money.

My own experience of Ted Baker constitutes a few t-shirts and a couple of shirts which have all held up nicely and of good quality. I tend to get the t-shirts in the smallest size - 2 - but with the exception of one of my t-shirts, this still isn't quite small enough and rather than giving a 'like a glove' fit, are probably more akin to a 'small' medium.

A couple of my mates have Ted Baker suits and shoes and these I always think look very sharp, kind of 'city slicker' especially if they fit well. Overall, although not my favourite brand of clothing, Ted Baker is a home banker - you can always rely on it and I no of no-one who dislikes their gear.

Summary: 8/10 clothing manufacturer

I have to disagree with plipplop - at least on the women's side of things. Every Ted Baker item I've bought is so classic in style and really good quality that I wear them all years later. Well worth the money in my opinion (the sale is normally my option though!)

I'm not entirely sure that Ted Baker stuff is worth the money. The "Endurance" shirts are like 65 quid in House of Fraser and they're not up to that price.
