i first saw this top while doing my weekly food shop at Tescos. I tend to wonder over to the clothes isle every time we visit the store because Tesco bring out new clothes near enough every week, and it is always good to check.
The Angry Birds print, i think, is a really good idea. Not only is it a popular game, it is also a great cartoon picture as well.
I bought this item for my son, who i must say, was really happy to have this because him and all his friends love the Angry Birds game.
The top was only around twenty pounds when i bought it which i thought was very good value, as it usually is when i buy clothes from Tesco. The top is made really well too. I find that some of the cheaper lines of clothes from some supermarkets tend to start falling apart after just a few washes but this one does not!
I like the black top, it is so much better for kids simply because if it gets dirty, which for my son and many other children is an issue, it does not stain as easily. The item is machine washable too but i do not advise washing at a high temperature because the print on the front may start to peel away which usually happens with any item with a print.
This is a hooded top too which i have grown fond of. This is worth buying for your children, as a cheaper alternative than others and stylish too!
I picked this jumper up round about last October for my eldest son who is aged 6. Angry Birds is something he has become aware of through older cousins and his grandad's iPad, so I bought this without him being with me as I knew that he would like the design and style of the jumper, as he likes the comfy look at the moment in casual clothes.
The jumper cost me £14 to buy in age 7-8. I went for this size as my son is 1.2m in height, and although he is rather thin he has also got pretty long arms so I knew that although it would be a little big, once he put this on over a T shirt it would look ok.
The jumper is certainly very comfortable to wear. It is easy to get on and off over the head, and it is pretty thick with a soft fleecey layer on the inside so it is lovely against the skin. The design takes up all of the chest area of the jumper with attractive pictures of 3 characters. I've had nothing to do with the game really but even I recognise the red bird and the pig shown on the front of this jumper.
The hood is a nice fit, and I find if it is really cold when we are out, my son will pull this hood up over the woolly hat he has on. He also really likes the pocket on the front of the jumper as his hands can go all the way through. It is useless for putting items in, but he likes being able to snuggle up with his hands in here if he is at home watching TV.
The black colour is lasting pretty well. I don't think it is quite as vibrant as when it was a new jumper, but I find that it has washed pretty well. Some other jumpers we bought at the same time but with a sports logo branding have gone rather bobbly so that when you look at them closely they look quite shabby and feel a bit rougher to the touch.
For the age of my son, £14 is a bit more than I would normally pay for a jumper as he can be pretty rough on his clothes and they need a lot of washing. This has been a good purchase however as he has always got a nice looking jumper to wear, and it is a bit trendy now he is starting to get a bit of awareness of what he likes and doesn't like in his clothing. I don't mind splashing the cash when it is a quality item like this which wears well and always looks nice and is also highly functionable. I would have no hesitation recommending this or purchasing other jumpers like this from Tesco, as this one and the Mario jumper I bought for my younger son at the same time are both proving to be excellent quality.
