Advantages: Fashionable clothing that follows the trends

Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive than its high street competitors

Topshop is just one of those shops that i love to hate. Personally, i am the sort of person that likes to wear clothes that people wonder where it is from, but with Topshop, and many other high street shops for that matter, it is very difficult to do so.

My favourite branch of Topshop, excluding the busy Oxford Street branch, is one of my local towns, Maidenhead. I find that they seem to stock things that i don't often to see in other Topshops which is great. Topshop Oxford Circus (of course this has to be mentioned) is also great, as it has a very wide variety of clothes. shoes, accessories and some make-up. It stocks other brands as well as its own, so you get to see products from different shops that you may not have heard of or seen, that are more boutique style and one offs which is great.

I would describe Topshops style generally as a very fashionable shop that follows the trends of the season to perfection, it is an easy way to look good and fashionable by shopping in Topshop. They also seem to have quite a vintage look about their clothes, which is another good thing i think, as vintage is such a big deal in the fashion world nower days.

The clothes
In general i would say the clothes, underwear and shoes are made to a good quality. They are stylish and cater for the needs of the average woman by having a basic section that has things such as tank tops. There are always offers such as 2 vests for £9, and 3 pairs of kinickers for £8, which is really good as you know that you can pick up basic good quality items for a good price that will last you a very long time. I can't say that i've ever really had any problems with the quality of Topshop clothes which i am happy to say. The shoes are also great, i find the high heels very comfortable. However some of the flat shoes take a while to break in, and can often come up smaller than other shops. Compared to other shops such as new look, h&m and dorothy perkins which are Topshops main competitors, i definitely prefer the stock and style that Topshop have. I know that if i need a last minute dress for a night out that i am almost gauranteed to find something nice. They do repeat a lot of their silhoettes, which is both good and bad, as it means if you didn't catch it first time round then you can get it, but also not so good as you can easily end up with the same shapes and styles which isn't always so good.

The accessories
I also find the accessories great as well. As always i do love the style of topshop jewellery and bags. However i have had problems with Topshop jewellery breaking and/or losing colour very quickly, so i try not to get too much jewellery from there. I also find that the jewellery can be expensive, especially if you know that it will end up breaking or rusting, you don't want to pay too much. So i definitely prefer to shop in accessorize for my jewellery. However, for bags, sunglasses and anything else, then topshop is definitely one of my favourites.

The Price
price comparatively with other shops and Topshops main rivals, then i would say that Topshop is slightly more expensive. However, you're getting style and quality when you shop in Topshop which i think makes it worth it to shop there.
