“ Brand: Topshop / Type: Female Casual Wear - Pocket Sweat Jersey Top „
Although I think a lot of their items are disproportionately priced I can't help but go into Topshop when I'm out shopping as it is probably true to say that they are the high street giants of fashion which helps them to justify their ridiculously priced items! It was a few months ago now that I purchased this jumper. I do have this jumper, without the pocket detail, in mint green but after getting so much wear out of it I decided to get this one in coral.
The jumper is boyfriend fit but the cuffs and hem are elasticated which stops the jumper looking like a tent! The hem finished just below my bum and the material doesn't hug the body at all so it really is true boyfriend style. The pocket is situated on the left breast but is for decoration more than functional use. The colour is described as 'coral' but I think it is more of a bright red colour, still the colour is vibrant and girly and quite 'grainy' which adds to the jumper's pattern and style.
It is available in sizes 6-16. I purchased this jumper in my regular size 6, normally I would opt for a size 8 in jumpers as I like them to be a bit bigger for the winter months but size 6 is perfect due to the boyfriend style fit. I paid £20 for this jumper but had a £20 Topshop voucher to use from Consumer Pulse but I think £20 is a very reasonable price for knitwear from Topshop and although it is a plain jumper the fit adds to the overall style of the jumper and instantly makes it fashionable.
I love the versatility of the jumper as it is long enough to wear with leggings alone for lazy days, or it can also be worn with jeans or jeggings. It will be perfect for the winter months because it is 100% cotton so it therefore quite thick so will be sure to keep me warm.
I have washed this jumper about four times and on the latest wash I have noticed that the material has gone slightly 'bobbly' on the front which I am quite disappointed about but this can only be seen up close.
I bought this just after Easter and i've got so much wear out of it! It's a really handy top to have as it is ideal or all occasions and goes with any outfit pretty much.
I paid £20 for this, which for a Topshop jumper is reasonably cheap, and as it is 100% cotton it is really good quality. The design is quite simple, it's a boyfriend style jumper with a medium sized pocket on the front on the left which adds a more unique look to the jumper rather than it just been plain, I don't use it as because it is posistioned on the breast, I get paranoid if I put something in it my boob will look a funny shape, lol. It has stitching detail on the hem, the sleeves and around the neck which isn't too noticeable but it adds a more unique look to it but it is subtle in doing so.
The neck is scooped and comes down to just above my collar bones, the top doesn't show off any cleavage and is quite long, so it is nice for days when I don't want to show my cleavage off/look like i've made an effort, and just want something comfy to wear. It also looks good with leggings - it's long enough to not look silly with them. The jumper is not as thick as I thought it would be - it's very thin and very lightweight, it is more of a summer jumper to sling on over a vest rather than a warm winter jumper. When the jumper is on it doesn't look as oversized as I had expected - it shows my shape off well but has a bit of bagginess to it so it's inbetween which is good - it doesn't drown me!
There is only one colour available in this particular design which is a gorgeous light blue, Topshop have got the colour listed as Mint so I suppose that's the excact shade of it. It's available in store and online in sizes 6 to 16 and I would reccomend getting your true size rather than the next up because it is designed to be baggy but look good at the same time rather than looking humongous and silly. The jumper is really soft and smooth to the touch, and really cosy. I usually wear mine with jeans but it looks nice with shorts too, but because it's so long if the shorts are hotpants/really short, it can look like I am only wearing the jumper so i've gotten a few 'looks' in the past but I don't really care lol. I personally don't wear it with skirts though as I think skirts and jumpers are a funny match.
Keeping it clean is easy - it's machine washable. I have washed mine loads since i've had it, it washes and dries well and has kept its shape/colour/texture. Overall this is a comfortable, high quality jumper which is versatile and looks great. £20 is a decent price for a well made Topshop item and I reccomend it.
