I am a bit of a vest addict and i'm always trying new ones, especially ones that have a bit of fancy detailing on them as they are ideal for summer nights out when I don't want to look too casual but don't want to look too dressed up. I got this a while back in late 2010 from Topshop. I paid around half price for mine as I remember getting it for £8 in the sale, and the current RRP is £15. I do honestly think it is worth £15 as I love mine and it is still great quality even though I have almost owned it for a year.

The vest has a really pretty and unusual design. It has a large scooped neck which I love, and the back is also scooped, with scallop edges on the neckline (back and front), sleeves and hem. The scallop detailing is really pretty and makes the top look much more fancy and expensive than it actually is. The detailing is nice however I would of preffered for the bottom not to have the detailing as it looks a bit like a frilly skirt when worn with leggings and a jacket over the top but nevermind - it looks fine with jeans. The straps are quite thick and not the spaghetti strap type straps which I also like as they are not itchy or flimsy like the thinner straps can be.

The fit is really good. It's not too tight and is well fittin on my hips but is slightly oversized at the front, giving a sort of almost ruffled effect. Length wise it is not as long as it looks and is slighty cropped. It reaches just below my waistline however it is long enough to be tucked into jeans, shorts and skirts. The bumpy texture of the scallop detailing is not visible when tucked into my jeans etc. The vest is available in orange, brown, black, pink, blue, white, yellow and green. I have it in white as I wanted it to be versatile enough to wear to university and casual interviews etc and it is ideal, it looks really smart with a blazer over the top.

The material of the top is 100% polyester and it has a luxurious, silky finish. It's extremely soft and it is also very lightweight - the material is extremely thin, so it is definetly better worn in summer or layered under a blazer or jacket in the colder weather. The material is sheer, so it does show my bra unless I wear a white bra or a white vest underneath it. The sizes available are 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16. It is machine washable and it dries extremely quickly. I have had mine for a while and washed it several times and the scallop detailing is still in perfect shape and the vest is still soft and in perfect condition. Overall this is a versatile vest which will suit most people.
