“ Brand: Topshop / Gender: Female / Type: Hoodie „
I love hoodies, I've got about ten of them & I'm always buying new ones, they're really good for lazing about in but they can be slung on with a tee shirt and jeans for a casual outfit too so my hoodies would have to be my wardrobe staples!
One of my more expensive hoodies is this one from Topshop, I've had it for about a year now and I wear it all the time. It's just a basic kangaroo hoodie and its a nice shade of pink, the pink is a summery shade and more of a pastel colour than a bright colour which I really like.
The hoodie has got a good sized hood which doesn't feel too tight around my head when I'm wearing it and the drawstrings are just the right thickness, I hate it when hoodies have really thin shoe lace kind of drawstrings but the draw strings on this one are quite thick (but not too thick).
The drawstrings along with the zip and zip trail are white, which is a nice contrast against the pink colour of the hoodie and give it some extra detail. There are lots of different colours though apart from pink, pretty much every colour of the rainbow.
The hoodie's pockets are on the front of it on either side, they're not very deep though so I can't really put my phone in the pocket without worrying it'll fall out without me noticing while I'm walking, so I just use the pockets mainly for loose change and little bits and bobs. The hoodies material is thick but it is still quite lightweight, it's lighter than a jacket but warmer than a cardigan. It would be a bit too thick for summer in my opinion, but would be handy to sling on over a dress or vest once it starts getting chilly.
The hoodie isn't fleecey or anything it's just a plain mix of polyester and cotton material which is soft and good quality. It has bobbled a bit, but like I said I've had if for a year & I've washed it a lot, so that's why and I'm pleased with how good it looks when I think about just how many times I've worn it. It is very easy to match with a lot of different outfits but I mainly wear it with jeans or leggings.
The hoodie is quite well fitting and not slouchy or over sized, so I wish is got a size bigger because it feels clingy when it is done up, but it's still comfortable. The hoodie was about £22 when I bought it which is a bit more expensive than my hoodies that I have from H&M and New Look, but the quality makes it worth it and I'd recommend this hoodie to anyone who wants a casual, good quality and comfortable hoodie.
I am a hoodie junkie.
Most of my plain hoodies are from H&M because they are so cheap and colourful. I'd never bought a hoodie from Topshop before as they usually only have black, white, grey or dark blue and seeing as they were twice the price as H&M I didn't even think twice.
This changed when Topshop brought in a selection of pastel coloured hoodies like this one as H&M are more bold colours so I was happy to spend a bit more on a new colour. I found that the hoodie was actually much better material than H&M as it was so soft on inside and out and the softness lasted much longer when being washed several times. They are perfect for all seasons because they keep you warm in winter and don't make you too hot in the summer and keep off light breezes, they can keep you dry from light rain but are obviously not going to be of any use in a downpour!
I also think the shape and fit of this hoodie is really great as it's long enough in my arms but also long enough in the body so I don't have to keep pulling it down a little bit every now and again. The hood is also great as it covers more of my head, including my fringe and doesn't have a weird pointy shape to it like many other cheaper hoodies too.
Another plus was that I could use student discount in Topshop!
I'd definitely recommend these Topshop hoodies for anyone looking for a plain zip hoodies because they are extremely good quality, the price is worth every penny.
Like most girls of my age, I can't get enough of Topshop. Every time I go into my local town centre I pop in to have a browse and always end up buying (or trying on) something. About two months ago I spotted this hoodie in many colours and had to buy it - I blame the fact I was out in just a cardigan & it was freezing, but I really liked it too!
The jacket has become very popular this year as the 'casual' look is in! Think vans, zip-up hoodies, jeans and a band tee then you're sorted for now! The hoodie is very versatile, it goes with most outfits as long as you match the colours correctly - obviously no pink with red combinations!
The hoodie is zip up and has a hood (obviously) that has drawstrings around it. I do always wonder why hoodies have drawstrings as I've never seen anybody who actually uses them!? I have seen recently that it has become fashion to tie them up and leave the hoodie un-zipped. The zip and drawstring ties are white with the rest of the hoodie being in your chosen colour. There are two pockets which are quite big and I am yet to use them as I find them to be more of a design feature than practical. The material inside is a little fleece like and not incredibly warm because the hoodie is a bit thin, but if you wear a cardigan or long top underneath you will be cosy. Often it will be okay without or just a coat on top. The sleeves are full length and are a little tighter around the wrist than the rest of the arm.
*The hoodie is made from polyester and cotton, washing instructions are on the inside label.
SO WHAT DO I THINK?
The hoodie fits really well and is quite baggy which I like. I brought mine in size 8 (which is my size) and find Topshop to be quite size perfect. The hoodie zips up easily and keeps me warm enough. I love the colours available and you could buy one to go with pretty much every outfit which is nice. I find it to be really versatile with any casual outfit - obviously you wouldn't wear it on a night out (except for a cover up before you get into your destination).
PRICE, SIZE & CHOICE
This hoodie surprised me with the vast amount of colours available. I brought mine in the Barbie pink shown in the picture above (later buying yellow and dark grey), but it is also available in:
There are probably more but this is what my local Topshop have in stock. The sizes range from 8-18 which I think is quite generous as most shops don't go to size 6 or 20 which is a shame because they really should.
Price wise, the hoodie is only £22 but if you're lucky enough to be a student you get 10% off this price (making it £19.80) with a valid NUS card and they often have 20% off events too.
This hoodie is such a good addition to the wardrobe and its quite a staple piece in mine, I wear one colour most days. I have three of the hoodies now and think I'll probably end up with at least one more before they go out of stock - especially when they go into the sale!
Topshop has, for a long time, been my favourite store as there is always so many things that I want to buy every time I venture into the store. Despite the somewhat steep price tags that are slapped onto most of the items I can't resist buying myself a few tops, jeans and jumpers every now and again to bolster my wardrobe.
The UK weather is incredibly unpredictable especially this year. This zip up jacket caught my eye as it looked thick and felt like the material was top quality and it looked girly as well as warm and versatile. On a typical day I will wear a graphic vest and leggings/jeans so this hoody would work well in my wardrobe, I thought.
The hoody that I chose was navy blue with two big pockets either side of the zip. These pockets aren't very safe for keeping mobile phones and keys in etc but they are good for keeping your hands warm! The zip was a different colour to the material of the hoody and was white which made it stand out and I really like the touch of the white zip it made it look modern and fashionable.
There is also drawstring toggles on the side of the hood which are also white. They allow for the hood to be tightened around your head so that it acts as a wind protector or for tying the two sides of the hoody together if you don't want to use the zip! The material does keep me warm especially if I team is with a big scarf! The hood has also come in very handy when i've forgotten my umberella on numerous occassions!
The fit of the hoodie I also found perfect, it was slouchy but still fitted around the belly area and underarm area. I really liked the fit because it didn't look like it was too big but was also not snug fit so it kept me extra warm.
The hoodie is 97% Polyester and 3% Cotton, it is also machine washable and I have washed this hoodie in excess of 10 times and the fit and quality of the hoodie is still as good as it always was. I paid £22 for this hoodie a few months ago and have since used it so much as, like I have said, it is very versatile. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hoodie.
Whilst browsing through topshop i noticed at the back of the shop this hoodie. I instantly fell in love. The hoodie came in a variation of colours; pink, burgundy, green, grey, blue, green and more. I myself went for the burgundy as that's the trend that is in at the moment.
The hoodie is a zip up hoodie with a two white strings at the top to adjust the hood so overall it's a simple design.
When on the hoodie was so comfortable yet it looked so chic and fashionable. The hoodie was really warm inside and didn't itch at all which happens a lot with hoodie's i buy. The hoodie fit perfectly however i couldn't roll up the sleeves far enough to be comfortable so i would recommend getting a size bigger than your actual size. The hoodie is lightweight so you can't even feel it on which is great in my opinion.
My favorite thing about this hoodie is it is so versatile and can be worn with a lot of things; jeans and a tank top, sweats and so much more.
Originally i expected it to be rather expensive for topshop however when i found out it was a mere £22 i was amazed and had to buy it. Overall was a great bargain, great quality and will be wearing for a very long time.
As an avid hoody buyer when I was browsing through Topshop.com I was instantly attracted to one of the first versions of this hoody.
I regularly purchase items from Topshop regularly so the price tag of this item-around £22 I thought was a bargain for such a gorgeous looking item. Luckily for me my sister said she would buy me the hoody as a Christmas present. I decided that I would prefer to have this hoody in a bigger size for comfort.
When I unwrapped the hoody on Christmas day I was even more happy with the product than I was when I first laid eyes on it on the website. The mint green shade was brighter than advertised online and the pockets were alot larger than I had expected. The white zip and zip trail along with the white drawstrings gave the hoody a fantastic final finish. The lining was like no lining of a hoody I had ever had before, it was SO soft which made me want to live in my hoody.
In June I popped into Topshop in Manchester and instantly fell in love again when I found a Jade green version of the same hoody. I didn't hesitate in purchasing the hoody again (and to be honest if I'd had the money I would have bought one in every colour!)
I rarely shop at Topshop due to the often ridiculous prices, but as my local one was having a sale recently i decided to have a look and try to find a few bargains. This was one of them. Although i wasn't particulary looking at buying a hoodie from Topshop (i'm content with cheapo primark ones), this really caught my eye. The hoodie was available in yellow, pink and blue. The one i chose is a lovely pale flamingo pink (sugar pink as Topshop call it), and has 2 white strings that adjust the hood and a white zip and zip trail so overall it's really feminine.
It is beautifully soft to the touch and is a basic style so is versatile for any season; and i plan to pair it with jeans in the winter and shorts on chilly summer days while out jogging or simply for a quick and easy outfit as it's so easy to slip on. It can be worn zipped up or undone (or half way if i'm wanting to show a bit of cleavage lol), and the zip isn't awkward and doesn't get stuck. The hoodie also has 2 pockets on the front which are quite discreet. They're deep enough to securely hold my iPod or phone without worries of the item(s) falling out. It's also quite long and is oversized which is ideal for days when i don't feel great about my body; i can just shove it on and go out without worrying about any lumps showing. It's also good for wearing with leggings due to the length.
The hood is a good size, i rarely use it but on the occasions i have i found it nice and warm. It's quite a lightweight hoodie but keeps me warm and the light colour makes it ideal for chilly summer days - the type when you'd look silly in a big cardi, but this just about passes as been worthy for summer. The hoodie was originally priced at £38 which i definetly wouldn't of paid, and was reduced to £25. Still quite expensive or a hoodie in my opinion but for a topshop item this is a real bargain, and also considering the fact it is 100% cotton overall i am happy with my purchase, Topshop seem to no longer sell it via their website - weird! (i can't find it online anyway) but i've seen them for sale in my local Topshop so i'd reccomend popping into your local one if you like the sound of this, :)
