      An ok dress

I never owned anything in the way of holiday clothes and when we planned to go to Spain last year I set about making a whole new holiday wardrobe. I bought a couple of dresses from Asos including this Vero Moda fruit print dress. The dress is quite different to what I would usually choose but the main reason I bought it was for the holiday and only family would see me wearing it so I wasn't that fussed. I only really chose it down to the price as it was only £16 and everything else I liked had a huge price tag! The dress itself is a dark orange, almost red colour and is covered in a fruit print in black. I like how it's in black as it really contrasts against the background colour so it is more noticeable. The fruit print includes apples and cherries and this is teamed with white polka dots scattered over the dress. Like I said before, it is certainly different. I have a funny body shape, I think I would describe it as an hour glass and it is hard to find dresses that are flattering but I know skater shaped dresses are a safe bet so this dress was quite flattering. It has short sleeves with a round neckline, the neckline is the perfect depth to not reveal too much but still see a tiny bit of cleavage at the same time. Below the neckline is where the dress gets a little weird, there is a seam going down the middle on the top half of the dress which wouldn't be too bad but the fruit print pattern doesn't match up and it looks stupid. The dress then has the seam around the top of the skirt part, which again, makes the pattern look silly and not match up. I wore this on holiday with wedges and now back home I still occasionally wear it as it looks ok with black tights or leggings too due to the black pattern on it. It is quite versatile and I think I've got my monies worth as it does wash up really well. I wash it on a 40 degree wash and let it air dry and it comes out looking fab. I do find the dress flattering to wear but the awkward seams making the pattern mismatch is annoying. If I had the choice now I don't think I would buy it again as it's quite different and the print is annoying when it doesn't match.
