Classic, good quality, but frumpy (Wallis)

Advantages: Good quality, fair prices, nice atmosphere

Disadvantages: Doesn't cater for younger women.

I don't shop in Wallis very often as I don't find that it caters for me very well. I'm a 21 year old student, and it's really not my thing. However, my Mum and older female relatives rave about the clothes available.

Wallis seems to have 3 distinct ranges of clothes. There are the party frocks and tops etc, which are quite nice, and I'd definitely wear one or two of them to a smart "do", but not out as normal in the pub. It's very middle-aged, but still classy.

I'm not very enamoured by their work wear and casual ranges as they are very middle class and middle aged for my liking. The jeans are frumpy, as are the jumpers, and the work suits really aren't my thing. Having said that, there is the odd surprise garment which would be OK. Like I said, Wallis just isn't for me, but I can really see why others like it so much.

Accessories-wise. Their bags and wallets are both good quality and fashionable. Also they are reasonably priced, and very useful to have. Their belts are fairly boring and frumpy, but some of their flowery brooches are very cute!

The quality of the clothes is excellent, and the prices are affordable. I'm also told that the sizes are generous, and I have to agree with that, as the jumper and skirt I've got from there are both either my size, or the one down, which is great.

It's very much a shop in which you either like something or you hate it, it's very easy to shop there as a result because you don't stand there going "I'm not sure about this one". Still, it's not really for me.
