Advantages: staff are usually really helpfull
Disadvantages: Expensive
Warehouse has been in spot of bother recently with all this recession business. They had to close a good number of the stand alone stores to concentrate on their concessions with in deaprtment stores such as House of Fraser and Debenhams.
Warehouse has never had the same popularity to shops such as Topshop because it tends to be more expensive. Jeans and knitwear may be similarily priced at around £40/ £50 their dresses are nearer £70 min.
This makes Warehouse's customers go down because which young people can afford £70 on a silk dress to get it ruined by some drunken idiot who can't keep hold of their drink?
None the less the dresses are usually gorgeous and have nice details on. Their sales are amazing and I have often got one of these £70 for £10 to £20 which make them much more popular in my opnion.
They also rule out customers by only having a very limited collection of footware and there is none in my 3 local (large) stores. Accessories can often be really nice but again difficult to get hold of and very expensive. £40 for a bag that isn't leather is extortion in my opinion.
All in all there are some nice designs but it isn't really cutting edge fashion. Go in for a look in the sales and if you need a posh cock tail dress bu8t most of the time I can't be bothered to rifle through horrible overpriced cheap looking tops!
Summary: Have a look.

- 24/04/09 I used to love Warehouse back in the 80s when Jeff Banks designed for them - the quality was amazing. |
