Advantages: You get to try on lots of beautful dresses.

Disadvantages: Not finding the right dress straight away.

Choosing your wedding dress is so exciting I actually picked the first dress that I tried on. When we decided to get married we only had 8 weeks to prepare for it we had been engaged for a year and decided to then tie the knot but didn't give anyone much notice.

A lot of people look for month's sometimes even years for the perfect dress for them. With me I went into one wedding shop, and as soon as I walked in there was a dress on a model and I wanted that dress. I tried it on and it looked perfect it was only slightly too big but they could adjust it. I don't know what drew me to the dress it certainly weren't the price tag,, least it was on sale though. My mum was with me and told me to try on a few dresses incase it wasn't the one for me but it was. The others didn't feel like this one made me feel, I felt so special and it fitted me perfectly in the places I wanted it to. When my mum saw me in it she had tears.

My advice for anyone picking a dress is try on lots of different styles I was lucky that the first dress I tried on was for me. A wedding day is a very special day so make sure you feel comfortable in it and it doesn't matter how many you try on. Look in magazines, on the internet and other shops and see what you like. Don't feel that you have to get a dress on the first day off looking there is no rush. If you are on a budget look at the price before you try it on, there's nothing worse then falling in love with a dress and not being able to afford it. Get advice off the salesperson but beware they want you to buy from there shop so there opinion isn't always right. That's why I advise you to take someone with you and they will be truthful. Relax and keep open minded when you're looking for a dress there's nothing worse then looking when you're stressed. Don't buy a dress just because everyone else likes it there opinion will help you but you need to agree to. Remember if you like something go away and think about it if you're still thinking about that dress in the next few days then it will probably be the one for you.

Summary: Overall I think looking for your wedding dress doesn't need to be stressful it can be fun to.
