“ Brand: Topshop / Type: Womens T-Shirt „
I bought this tee shirt around three months ago as I loved the slogan on it and as it's such a basic tee shirt which goes with almost any outfit, I knew that I'd get plenty of wear out of it and get my money's worth. The tee shirt is part of Topshop's boutique range which Topshop describe as being the 'first stop for directional pieces and premium essentials'.
The tee shirt when I bought it was £28, however it has since been reduced to £10, which I think is a bargain. Although the full price is admittedly pretty extortionate for a reasonably basic tee shirt, I was happy with paying it as it has a nice design, is versatile and is very soft - you can tell by looking at it that it is a good quality item of clothing and of course you are also paying for the Topshop branding, however in my opinion Topshop clothes are a lot better quality than Primark clothes and are longer lasting, so it is worth paying that bit extra in my opinion.
The tee shirt is quite basic in design. It has a slightly scooped neck and for a tee shirt it has quite long sleeves which come just above my elbows. The tee shirt comes just past my bum, which I really like as this means that I am able to wear it with leggings without feeling self concious! The tee shirt is a nice medium shade of grey which is light enough to wear in summer without looking too dark/depressing/grungey, and it's dark enough to wear in winter layered because it doesn't look like a bright, summery tee shirt. As far as I know, no other colours are available.
There are five words written on the front of the tee shirt in black capital letters - wild hearts can't be broken. The first thing that I noticed was that the can't doesn't have an apostrophe, but this doesn't particullary bother me! The tee shirt is really soft and comfortable and it's ideal for mooching around the house in as it's so comfy and lightweight, however it can go with pretty much any outfit and can be dressed up a little if layered under a nice blazer or leather jacket. I wear this with leggings around the house and if I'm wearing it to go shopping/out & about I wear it with skinnies or denim shorts - it isn't too long to be tucked in either which is good.
The tee shirt has a very slouchy, relaxed fit without being so oversized that it makes me look fat/looks silly. I like how it fits as it's kind of 'floaty' feeling if that makes sense and although it is lightweight and made of quite thin material it is really comfortable. The only thing that I would change if I could is the neckline, which is scooped but quite high - I prefer deep scooped necks as I don't usually like the look or feel of tops too close to my neck (for some weird reason). This shows a tiny bit of my chest, but no cleavage at all.
The top is soft with an almost silky feel to it. It is made of 82% polyester and 18% cotton. It is machine washable and I've found that it washes well - I've washed mine at least five times and I've had no issues with it losing its shape/the colour fading etc. Sizes available are 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16. I would reccommend getting your usual size due to the relaxed fit. The tee shirt is available from topshop both in-store and via their website and I overall reccommend it!
