“ Topshop/Boutique / White t-shirt by Boutique with Yours Truly print on the front „
I bought this last month after seeing it online. As soon as I saw it I loved it and despite the price I couldn't resist buying it.
This T shirt is part of the Topshop Boutique range, which means that it's a designer peice. It's also part of the Edited collection, which means that it is part of a handpicked selection from the Topshop new season collection, so it's bang on trend at the minute!
It is available online and in store. I had to buy mine in store as the website has sold out of my size and only has size 16's left, so it's obviously a popular item of clothing, however I probably would of bought in store anyway as I think Topshop's £4 postage is extortionate. The sizes available in store go from 6 to 16.
The top cost me £28 which I know is expensive for a T shirt but as i'm getting so much wear out of it, in my eyes it's worth it. The style of the T shirt is quite basic, and it's in the 'boxy' style - quite oversized with longer sleeves than a usual T shirt. It has ribbed detailing to the neck, which is slightly scooped but still quite high, however not uncomortably high, it still shows a bit of my chest but not any cleavage or anything which is why it's best as a casual top rather than a going out top. This is only available in white, which is a downside as it would look good in a mint green or baby pink but I like the white too obviously or I wouldn't of bought it.
On the front of the top is adorable, it has 'yours truly...' in large black font designed to look like handwriting. It's really girly and makes the top what it is - without the slogan I wouldn't of bought it.
The top is 100% cotton and really soft, it's very thin and lightweight and is a little more sheer than I had expected, but I love it non the less. Because it is so lightweight it is ideal for the warm weather, and i've just been matching it with shorts and jeans. I have also worn it with leggings and it is long enough to cover my bum which is good as I get self concious of my bum when wearing leggings. When I go back to Uni I will definetly wear it with a bodycon for a smart but casual look. The only downside is that when i'm moving about and picking things up it sometimes rides up/exposes my stomach because it's so lightweight and baggy, so i'd be aware of that if you are uncomfortable with your body.
The sleeves are longer than a usual T shirt as I said and come mid arm length and are quite baggy, which isn't that flattering but the whole oversized look is in fashion so I don't mind. The top can be machine washed and i've washed it once so far and it was fine, and it also dried extremely quickly. It did go really creased though (probably because it's so lightweight) so I got Jack to iron it for me (bless him) and it was back to normal.
Overall, this is a comfy, soft, versatile and lightweight top ideal for summer and although the price is a little over board, I personally am getting alot of use out of it so I personally think that it is worth it.
