Epson Stylus SX600FW ... this today because the features and functions are so rich that for the price (£97) it was an absolute bargain. You can even print your own paper with narrow or wide fient or maths squared paper. It was a doddle to set up on the network (I have wired it in rather than use wireless although wireless is there as an option. The printer and scanner plus PCless copying is great and so far all seems to have worked well. OK I say that but in fact I have one problem, the FAX is not working. Now this could be an issue with the phone lines I have but the manuals are not very comprehensive and the manual on the disk that is installed on the PC DOES NOT even mention the ... HP Officejet J6410 ... would generally agree with the first reviewer - this J6410 is a very poor machine, largely because the drivers and software appear to be extremely unreliable. the machine almost never does the required action twice. the wifi function is particularly unreliable. i managed to get wifi scanning to work, but again, it was unreliable. over the last thirty years i have owned many hp machines. in the last twenty years almost all of them suffer from poor software - unreliability being the constant problem. i am about to phone the place i bought the j6410 from (pcw) and more than likely waste half a day taking it back and trying to find something else. hp was undoubtedly once... Panasonic Panafax UF-585 ... I m coming to the end of a tough week at work and, since my colleague went on her lunch break over 2 hours ago, I feel it s about time I had a little chill out time. And of course there s nothing more therapeutic and relaxing in life than knocking back a strong black coffee and reviewing your work fax machine. Whilst it may be older than I am, I can t really find fault with this fax and it s perhaps the most reliable fax I have encountered during my time in various offices within the NHS.
