This is a a fairly simple to use plain paper fax machine. The instruction manual is well set out and the steps are logical and well supported with easy to follow diagrams.

The problem arrises, and believe me it is a major problem, when you need to change the machine's ink ribbon. This becomes a rather messy task normally one which requires the help of a friend to ensure the mechanism is lined up correctly with the machine.

This is a major design fault which definately detracts from the otherwise comprehensive and easy to use features on the phone.

If you can afford and inkjet machine, then please consider purchasing it or looking at alternative machines. If you are purchasing this fax machine, I recommend purchasing a tin of hand cleaner such as the ones car mechanics use to keep at your side when changing the printer ribbon. Good Luck!
