... copies, and scans and is very useful especially to does that have an office at home (like me). Everything you could ever need and want in an office machine is right here in the C530. You might have a few problems operating but their “troubleshooting guide” usually sorts everything out. There are no mechanical problems only operating ones. As far as I can tell, maintenance costs are limited to ink cartridge refills. I would definitely recommend the Canon MultiPass C530 to anyone interested in a multifunction...more

Canon Multipass C530 – Fax-Printer-Scanner-Copier ============================================ I have posted this opinion here as I am quite certain that the C50 is the same as the C530. The Canon MultiPass C530 is extremely easy to set up. In the beginning, it's a little confusing to operate which is due to its many functions. Once you get the hang of it, then its really quite easy to operate. The Canon Multipass combines scanner, photocopier, fax and colour printer. It is designed to be used with a PC and without one, you would not get to use at least 50% of its features. If you mainly want a fax machine, but will occasionally use the other features, the C50 is a fair bet. The fax quality is good and the fact that you can receive faxes on your PC before printing them out, means that you can get rid of junk faxes before wasting valuable paper and ink.
