For a mere £60 (Tesco Direct) this is a real bargain. You get a printer, compier, scanner and fax machine all rolled into one. Its incredibly easy to use and to the point of being idiot proof. Want to send a fax? Insert your document, press the fax button, dial in the number just like you would a phone and hey presto fax sent.

The printer requires two ink cartridges, one black, one colour and the black ink cartridges come in two sizes so if you do a lot of printing you can buy bigger cartridges to save having to change them frequently. You can buy genuine Canon replacement cartridges or re-manufactured cartridges from a variety of sources including Tesco.

If you do choose to use re-manufactured cartridges the ink remaining indicator fails to work so the first you know that you've run out of ink is because your page is blank, but thats a small price to pay for a £5 saving per cartridge. Replacement cartridges aren't cheap at £12-£18 but they are readily available and can currently be recycled via the Tesco Clubcard scheme for 100 points which is the equivalent of £1 in store or £4 via promotions in the Clubcard Deals brochure.
