I bought this all-in-one printer already about 8 years ago. I do not have this printer any more - I threw it away (will explain why). The printer come in silver/grey colour. There was a control panel on the left top side of the printer. I remember it was quite hard to navigate through the functions and the whole remote panel was quite chaotic and some buttons were there even duplicate. There is a two line text LCD which shows only the icons and not the text which was really annoying. The papers go in the printer from the back tray and come out in the front.
The next downside of this machine was that it was very noisy which is very disturbing if you want to focus on other work. The printing of the documents is very slow (and by coloured ones and pictures even slower) so if you are printing a 300 page project you will need to wait a long time. The printer came without any USB cable so unless you have a spare one you need to order a cable as well.
The quality of the prints was very poor and was leaving ugly black marks on the documents I printed.
This is definitely the worst printer I ever bought and after having it for a month I rather decided to threw it away instead of giving it to someone.
I definitely not recommend this printer, I think that all the printers nowadays on the market are far better than this one.
I purchased this printer because I needed a scanner, fax and photocopier. I have this one set up as well as the Epson Stylus C66; it was the quality and efficiency of the Stylus C66 that made me decide to stay with Epson when it came to choosing a second printer. The DX700F is an excellent product; the scanning and photocopying features are simple to operate and produce excellent results. I was very impressed with how easy this printer is to use in all its applications. The faxing facility is simplicity itself. It is a good looking fairly compact product and the ink cartridges are reasonably priced and clean and easy to replace. The paper feed never gets jammed and always produces clean straight copies.
If you want a photocopier, scanner, fax and printer all in the same easy-to-operate machine, you won't go wrong with the Epson DX 700F. I thought it was a little expensive at £139.99 from PC World but it does produce excellent results.
