Advantages: Amazing quality, wireless works flawlessly, all in one machine
Disadvantages: Ink does not last long
This printer is certainly not cheap but one conclusion you can draw from it's price is that it does do pretty much everything! It has fax, copier, printer and scanner and a whole host of other useful features.
The first thing I did upon receipt of the printer was set it up to work wirelessly and it works absolutely flawlessly. I can print from any computer in the house without wires, it's a great feature. Takes only around 5 minutes to setup as well. Another bonus is the data is transferred to the printer very quickly, I have come across some with very slow data transfer.
The print quality from this machine is absolutely superb, photos are simply stunning for an all in one machine. Although don't expect to be printing many at a time, high quality prints really does wear down the ink. The best feature on the printing is the ability to print on CD and DVDs and as such I've made a few great looking disc projects.
I haven't used the fax properties so can't comment on them although the scanner is extremely high quality and the automatic document feeder works very well.
The print speed is probably around what is mentioned in the technical spec, it is very fast depending on the ink level setting.
One gripe about this printer is the ink, it costs a LOT and doesn't really last particularly long! But if that's not your biggest concern it really is one of the best quality all in one machines on the market.
Summary: Great printer but avoid if ink costs are a big issue to you

- 12/07/09 I think I paid around £250 for the printer, managed to get a small deal in the shop. It's expensive compared to other printers but the quality is fantastic. |
