Advantages: Does most things well

Disadvantages: Could be my setup but the FAX is not easy to get working.

Bought this today because the features and functions are so rich that for the price (£97) it was an absolute bargain. You can even print your own paper with narrow or wide fient or maths squared paper. It was a doddle to set up on the network (I have wired it in rather than use wireless although wireless is there as an option.

The printer and scanner plus PCless copying is great and so far all seems to have worked well. OK I say that but in fact I have one problem, the FAX is not working. Now this could be an issue with the phone lines I have but the manuals are not very comprehensive and the manual on the disk that is installed on the PC DOES NOT even mention the FAX. You can download the FAX manual online, however, again it is not that good when it comes to troubleshooting. I have a call outstanding with Epson and it will be interesting to see what they say. THe problem is that the cable that I normally plug into the phone does not work when plugged into the printer.

Anyway the FAX for me is an add-on, however, I would still like it to work!! THe little screen on the front is lovely and clear and the options are many, although I cannot seem to get the screen to blank which is a worry as the Printer never seems to enter a dormant state!

Summary: Get it! Even with a FAX that maybe you don't want - or can't get working, it is a must for <£100
