HP J6410 is terribly unreliable (HP Officejet J6410)

i would generally agree with the first reviewer - this J6410 is a very poor machine, largely because the drivers and software appear to be extremely unreliable. the machine almost never does the required action twice. the wifi function is particularly unreliable. i managed to get wifi scanning to work, but again, it was unreliable.
over the last thirty years i have owned many hp machines. in the last twenty years almost all of them suffer from poor software - unreliability being the constant problem.
i am about to phone the place i bought the j6410 from (pcw) and more than likely waste half a day taking it back and trying to find something else.

hp was undoubtedly once a fine company with legendary company loyalty ('the hp way' was something that other companies envied), but i shall try very hard to buy no more hp products in future. it seems i am not alone in my poor view of hp, and whilst one can find support for almost any opinion on the web, i think that negative views of hp products (at least consumer devices) are to be taken seriously.

Summary: I would advise against buying this machine.
